SFU Requirements
Grade 11 and 12 course required for admission for some programs at SFU will remain specific, while other programs will have more flexible requirements.
SFU will look at your grades in nearly ALL your academic Gr.11 and Gr.12 courses.
SFU will now take a holistic approach for their admission process.

Key Points from SFU
In addition to English 12:
A “Personal Profile” required for all applicants
For Arts: Foundations of Math 11 and 12 or Pre-Calc 11; plus 3 more approved academic gr 12 courses
For Sciences: Pre-Calculus Math 11 and 12; Physics 11; Chemistry 11; one gr. 12 Science; 1 more approved academic course
For Business: Pre-Calculus Math 11 and 12, 2 approved gr. 12 courses; Video Interview
** Only courses with a final mark as of Feb 1st of the grade 12 year will be considered for admission. Grade 11 marks will be used in some cases where a grade 12 mark is not yet available.
UBC Requirements
• Pre-requisites and requirements are not changing. You do not have to take different/more courses than currently required.
• You should take courses in secondary school that are related to what you want to study at UBC. Doing so will increase your chances of admission.
• UBC will look at your grades in nearly ALL your academic Gr.11 and Gr.12
courses.
• When we look at your overall grades, we will drop your lowest Gr.11 or Gr.12 course; so it is safe to experiment.
• Be aware that having the highest grades is not the only way to get in challenging yourself by taking more courses or more rigorous courses can also be beneficial
