Helping to change lives

Progress…

The CIPS Foundation is a registered

charity set up to help individuals who

struggle to progress in the procurement

and supply profession, whether through

hardship, illness, circumstance and

discrimination or due to lack of access to

formal studies and/or formal

employment. It aims to ensure a

sustainable talent stream of

procurement professionals by

supporting equal opportunities,

therefore helping students and

professionals to rise above challenging

circumstances and enabling the most

talented to rise to the top.

This is an amazingopportunity totransform futures.

So many people across

the world face barriers

through poverty,

hardship, unrest and

discrimination and many

can change their futures

if they have the right

support at the right time. The CIPS

Foundation supports individuals who are

making huge sacrifices to improve their

lives and that of their families and

encourages them to fulfill their potential

in procurement and supply. By offering

international and UK bursaries, the CIPS

Foundation helps to build business and

life skills that will make a difference and

change lives in the process.

Carolyn Sisya from Malawi is a great example ofhow CIPS Foundation bursaries have changed lives

Before being awarded a bursary, in her own words – was left with ‘the

only option to get married, but I do not wish to as with my poor

educational background my husband would be fully in control of my

life… education is the only way to eradicate my poverty and for me to be

independent’.

After being awarded a bursary, Carolyn’s world was transformed. She

says: ‘I am so happy my future is safe, me and my family are very happy

and you have changed the story of my life.’
