As we move forward during this post-election era, change is on the horizon. With a new Administration, we are certain to feel another shift to healthcare in the months to come. Some with skepticism and some with optimism, we all await these changes. Physicians are constantly challenged to remain compliant with new regulations while continuing to be advocates for their patients. Physicians must stay vigilant to ongoing changes and be proactive in shaping their own future in medicine. To quote the German businessman, Heinrich von Pierer, “Control your fate or somebody else will.” Become involved and encourage your colleagues to join in the advocacy efforts of the medical society.
