    Rsum: Discrepancies between education, training programs and labour markets requirementsincrease the risk of school failure in the vocational technical school from milling and bakerysector because the iVET students have restricted opportunities. While the EU objective forreducing the early school leave rate is 10%, all the partners from this project are dealing withhigher rates, Spain 26,5%, Turkey 46.6%, Bulgaria 12,8%, the highest ones being among thevocational-technical schools.

    This project overall aim is to address the problems that the pupils from technical school frommilling and bakery have to face in order to maintain themselves in school, identifying theopportunities offered by this industry as a future employer, increasing the students interestfor this field and the awareness and motivation to prevent and reduce the early school leavingphenomenon, promoting also the integration of iVET students with this risk in the milling andbakery industry by internship stages.

    The partnership is composed by organizations which complement each other in terms ofimplementing project's activities and sharing the common challenge of reducing the earlyschool leave from vocational technical school from in milling and bakery sector.

    The innovative result in which this proposal is based, will be the transferred methodologyused at the Socio economic analysis of sector of canned seafood in the EU,(product of theEurosea project), from the canned seafood sector to the milling and bakery sector. This willpermit to share similarities and make a transfer of common content in the food industry. Thetransfer of the product will be focused on a specific target group: iVET students fromvocational technical schools from milling and bakery at particular risk of ESL and will have aspecial focus on national realities, and social and personal profiles of the target group.

    The project will achieve as main tangible results: production of a study reflecting the futureopportunities that iVET students have in the milling and bakery industry; a project websitecontaining all the relevant materials of the project; a methodology for a partnership betweenindustry- vocational education, put into practice through a contest.The intangible results will be the increase of the iVET students interest for this field and theawareness and motivation increasing of the stakeholders to prevent and reduce early schoolleaving phenomenon.

    The impact that this project aims is to successfully match the problems faced by the earlyschool leave in the technical vocational schools from milling and bakery with the solutionsoffered by the labour market in the field, with direct benefits for the iVET students, while thevarious stakeholders will increase their awareness upon the social, economical, cultural andpersonal consequences of the early school leaving phenomenon and of the importance toprevent it.

    YOUNGSTERS IN THE MILLING AND BAKERY INDUSTRY

    Description On September 24th 2014, the Seminar Youngsters in the milling and bakery industry tookplace at IBA Bucharest National Institute for Research and Development for the FoodBioresources.The invitation was sent to all the VET Technical Highschools in Romania and it was uploadedon the ROMPANs website.At the seminar 28 persons participated, representatives of The Dumitru Mooc TechnologicalHighschool in Bucharest and representatives of the companies from the milling and bakeryindustry in Romania.The context , objectives, activities and target group of the project were presented to theparticipants in the first presentation at the seminar.Next, the Work Package 3 Organizing the contest Youngsters in the milling and bakeryindustry was presented, and there were discussions regarding it. WP3 will take place duringSeptember 2014 and January 2015.

    Three main topics that were achieved:1.Establishing the work team for the Contest2.Elaborating the methodology and rules for the contest3.Establishing the contest participants

    Further, the representatives of IBA Bucharest presented the Work Package 4 Pilotexperience. The WP4 will start in February 2015 and end in July 2015.In the presentation there were pointed out the main activities and results of the work package:-Closing collaboration agreements with companies in the milling and bakery sector-Elaborating the contest calendar-Establishing the contest winners-Guides for the feedback interview questionnaires regarding the contest-Elaborating the report Youngsters in the milling and bakery industry-Elaborating the final version of the contest methodology and rules

    At the end of the seminar there was a session of discussions and conclusions.
