Newton’s Laws Project
Objective: Learn about Newton’s three laws and demonstrate your understanding on a
poster or in a booklet.
Option One: Newton’s Laws Poster
Your poster must include the following:
1. State each of Newton’s Laws. Use your textbook, the internet, and other resources to help you find out more
information about the three laws.
2. Find TWO illustrations for EACH law. The illustrations can be hand-drawn (pictures of examples not
diagrams), cut out of magazines, or printed off of the internet. If the pictures are printed off of the inter-
net they should be photographs NOT diagrams. They can not be pre-labeled with forces/arrows.
3. Write a PARAGRAPH explaining how the pictures you chose explain each law. This means you must have
THREE paragraphs total (one for each pair of pictures). Each paragraph must contain at least FIVE
sentences.
4. Include at least one thinking map, of your choice, to help explain Newton’s Laws. Refer to the Thinking Map
examples on the wall or ask for help.
Option Two: Newton’s Laws Booklet
Your booklet must include the following:
1. You can make your booklet using 2 pages of computer paper folded in half to make a book.
2. Page 1 is the cover. The cover must include:
~Title, Name and Date
3. Pages 2-3 will be all about Newton’s First Law. Pages 4-5 will be all about Newton’s Second Law. Pages 6-7 will
be all about Newton’s Third Law. Page 8 must include one Thinking Map (of your choice).
EACH two-page spread must include the following:
~A complete description of the law.

grams), cut out of magazines, or printed off of the internet. If the pictures are printed off of the internet they
