In many cases, it can be crucial that the private sector plays an active role in addressing the future electricity needs of a country. This will reduce the funding burden on governments, relieve the borrowing requirements of electricity generating companies and introduce generation technologies which a company may not consider part of its core function but which may play a vital role in the future electricity supply options.

Hands-on experience enables us to support our partners in all aspects of project development – from potential lead to project implementation. As a turnkey EPC contractor, BWSC takes responsibility for design and engineering of the plant, the procurement of equipment, materials and manpower, as well as the construction schedule with a guaranteed completion date. We also ensure testing and commissioning of the plant before hand-over, so the plant is delivered into successful commercial operation. In addition, performance guarantees are typically provided for production, heat rate, emissions and lube oil consumption. There are many advantages for IPP stakeholders when integrating EPC with BWSC IPP. We ensure:

As an O&M provider, BWSC takes responsibility for plant management, operation and maintenance, sourcing and delivery of spare parts and consumables. Health and safety is our topmost priority as well as honouring the performance guarantees typically for production, heat rate, emissions and lube oil consumption.
