Chevron operates in Angola through its wholly owned subsidiary CABGOC (Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited). CABGOC proposed a gas processing and treating complex in Cabinda Province (Angola). The plant had a capacity of 25 million cubic feet per day. This complex helps CABGOC eliminate flaring of associated gas, recover hydrocarbon vapors from its oil storage terminal, and produce saleable natural gas liquids (NGLs).

The plant comprised of facilities for oil-gas separation, vapor compression, amine treating for acid gas removal, glycol dehydration, refrigeration for NGL recovery, molecular sieve dehydration of hydrocarbon liquids, and liquids fractionation to produce NGL for export and local consumption.

INTECH was called in for engineering, design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning of a complete Integrated Control & safety System (ICSS) for the gas processing and treating complex. The scope of supply included Integrated Process Control System (PCS), Safety Instrumented System (SIS) and Fire and Gas System (FGS) for Cabinda Gas Plant (CGP) Gas Management expansion Project.
