of human civilization was not only known to the US intelligence
community in the early 1970s but was
espoused as a secret official intelligence finding that was
being taught to the gifted and talented American
schoolchildren receiving secret schooling to prepare them for
service as Americas first generation of
chrononauts.
Dear Dr. Sitchin, When I was a child serving on DARPA's Project
Pegasus, which was the US
government's time-space exploration program at the time of its
emergence in the early 1970's, the
children in the program attended a number of "Yellow Book"
lectures about different esoteric subjects,
including such topics as the origins of human civilization on
Earth, the ASTART alphabet for alien-human
communication, and the history of extraterrestrial visitations
to Earth and interaction with the human race.
During these lectures, which were sponsored by the US Department
of Defense, we were told that the
contemporary civilization on Earth arose in Ancient Sumer around
3,000 BC, with intervention by the
extraterrestrial species identified in the UFO literature as
"the Grays." This intervention, it was explained,
was an attempt to re-establish an advanced civilization on Earth
after the first human civilization on Earth,
the Ancient Egyptian civilization that built the Great Pyramid
and the Sphinx, was destroyed in a solar
system catastrophe around the year 9,500 BC. In light of the
estimable scholarship that you have
produced in regard to the Sumerian epoch, and the
extraterrestrial-human interaction that took place in
Ancient Sumer that had such a profound influence on the destiny
of the human race and the emergence
of civilization as we know it, I am writing to you to apprise
you of the fact that this was the official position
on the meta-history of contemporary human civilization on Earth
that was held by the US intelligence
community in the 1970s, for it was the position that they were
teaching the gifted and talented school
children, including myself, that they were training to become
America's first generation of "chrononauts"
