Texas SET 3.0 “Roadshow”

• Suggestion– from TTPT leadership at January RMS was to hold a ‘change session’

for Texas SET 3.0 and future version releases, similar to what was done for MIMO. Delivery by ERCOT (Market Liaison)

• Action Item– ERCOT took action item to review feasibility with ERCOT management

and return to RMS in February with recommendation

• ERCOT Analysis– ERCOT mgmt supported concept, if requested by Market and delivery is

appropriate within project timeline and budget constraints– MCT expressed concerns regarding possible cost to project and value to

Market Participants at this stage of the project– ERCOT estimated possible minimum cost estimate of $16K using

following assumptions:• Hold two one-day sessions in 3 locations: Austin, Dallas, Houston• Held at ERCOT and MP facilities• Up to two ERCOT SMEs to develop and deliver sessions

• Recommendation from MCT and ERCOT for Texas SET 3.0– Do not hold ‘change sessions’ at this time, but ensure Market

Participants are made aware of location of necessary information for implementation

• Recommendation for future Texas SET version upgrades– For future Texas SET Releases, MCT and ERCOT will evaluate

the necessity of having an Information Session in an open house format. The appropriate time for this event will be after Market Requirements are finalized and Texas SET Redlined Implementation Guides are published

Emergency Change Control approved for Texas SET 3.0

• 2007-704 Approved by Texas SET on 2/5/07:

When updating the 814_03 implementation guide for TX SET 3.0, the PER~IC segment was overlooked. This segment is required if the 814_03 is associated with a Switch (814_01), Drop to AREP (814_10), or Move In (814_16). Since ERCOT will not have customer data to populate in this field for a Mass Transition 814_03, ERCOT will populate the PER~IC with the value of Mass Transition Customer

TDSPs will send 867_03s Version 3.0 with a REF~5I segment that includes a value of "D10" reason code (Other) in the REF02, an explanation will be populated by the TDSP to prevent TX SET validation errors for this segment and the Estimation counters will be populated with “0” (Replaced text: the reason explanation of "Before V3.0", and Estimation counters of "0“).”

Changes to Market Requirements since January MCT

• Change Control 2007-704Added #24) to section B. Mass Transition Detailed Requirements

Currently the PER~IC Name element is a required data field for all 814_03 Enrollment requests, therefore when ERCOT generates the 814_03 Enrollment for a Mass Transition (BGN07=’TS’) this required data element (PER~IC PER02) will be populated with ‘Mass Transition Customer’. Change Control 2007-704 was approved for inclusion by TX SET during an Emergency Change Control Call on February 5, 2007 to fulfill this requirement.
