Workshop A:Nutrition strategies for feeding high risk neonates Workshop Leader:Dr. Khaled El-Atawi, Specialist Senior Registrar Neonatology, Latifa Hospital Overview: Poor nutritional management of preterm babies can result in numerous adverse outcomes including poor growth, poor bone mineralisation and fracture, anaemia, and risk of poor neurodevelopmental outcome. Lack of nutrition and feeding protocols can delay feeding and nutrition milestones which could delay discharge and reduce cost effectiveness.
Workshop objectives:

Define basic nutritional requirements for neonatal growth.

However, simple examination and testing tools readily available in many hos-pitals can be of great help in the initial assessment and diagnosis
Workshop Objectives:
To present several clinical cases in different types of congenital and acquired heart disease
