Promote planning excellence in Saskatchewan through ensuring planning is seen as an essential service for organizations.

Provide professional development opportunities to all members across the spectrum.

Represent the planning profession in policy issues which have the potential to affect the profession.

Strengthened tie to CIP initiatives. Enhanced communication both internally and externally Effective implementation and administration of legislation and

policies. Revenues support strategic and operational initiatives. Facilitate the progress of the majority of candidate members to

become RPP’s

PLANNING IS GAINING MOMENTUM

Many of Saskatchewan’s 786 rural and urban municipalities have been under pressure to respond to growth demands, spurring: 158 municipalities to participate in the province’s Planning for

Growth program the development of 18 planning districts involving 88

municipalities and two First Nations across the province an increase in the number of Official community plans (40%

of municipalities); and Zoning bylaws (63% of municipalities) A growing interest in establishing planning and development

services to support local and regional demands for residential and commercial lots, expanding infrastructure, and servicing
