PROPOSAL FOR NEW CULTURAL EXPERIENCES FOR MEMBERS OF THE FAR HORIZONS CLUB

Introduction

The Club Secretary intends to establish new cultural events which could be held

Over the weekends. The following are my suggestions for new activities which can

provide a cultural experience to our members.

Cinema and documentaries

Firstly, I recommend watching different sort of films and documentaries. In these,

club members could choose between a wide selection available while they enjoy a

delicious coffee for instance. Afterwards, we could organize a discussion where the

different members could share their opinions and knowledges of either the film or

the documentary.

The shared bookstore

In addition, it would be very interesting if every member brings to the club a small

collection of their favourites books or magazines. Actually, it could be very useful

to increase their knowledge of literature by making recommendations to each

other and having entertaining conversations while sharing their opinions.

Artistic activities

A further idea would be to help the different members to practice those artistic

activities they want to either try or improve by organizing theatre or dance

courses. This could led to a major integration of the club members together with

the development of their artistic skills.

Conclusion

I believe all these activities could be attractive for our members and at the same

time all of them will provide a really good cultural experience. Also, I would like to

stress the fact that all these activities will not imply additional cost to the

memberships fees.
