Problem Statements

There are few problems that have been identified for this study is as follows:

i.The placement of bus terminal influences location factor and effect the

convenience of the user that came in this area at certain time and causes of

much trouble for all bus terminal users.

ii.The conditions of supporting facilities such, mussolah, benches, toilets, bus

waiting space, shop lot, information board, food court, and facilities for disabled

people in poor condition and not able to accommodate the quantity of bus

terminal users at a certain time.

iii.The lack of safety element such lighting element, installation of CCTV,

security officers, and safety dome mirror at bus terminal especially on users

parking causes the dangerous to bus terminal users during at night.

iv.The lack of parking provision there are unpaved and not maintained well by

the local authority for terminal users can affect the convenience of the users.

Aim of study

The aim to examine about the effectiveness of the physical aspects in bus terminal

and identify the issues and problems that can be solved through effective way for

give the best implemented at the bus terminal to all users.

Objective Of Study

There are the objectives identified:

i. Identify the aspects of existing bus terminal placement location that influences

convenience of the users.

ii.Identify all supporting facilities provided at the terminal is in a good and

suitable condition to guarantee the comfort of the user terminal.

iii.Identify the safety element that already provide at bus terminal by local

authority to ensure bus terminal users safety.

iv.Identify the condition of the vehicle parking space to users of the bus terminal

and not unpaved and not well maintained affect the quality of services offered.

v.Identify recommendations that can be applied to solve the issues found in

surrounding bus terminal.

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of physical aspects in the bus terminal is influenced by specific factors

which is can be measure through the current issues and problems that already happened at the bus terminal.

This study also includes aspects relating to local authority guidelines and sources of study area namely as Majlis

Perbandaran Kota Bharu Bandaraya Islam (MPKB-BRI) In respect of a physical planning aspect to the bus terminal

and maintenance.

Further, this study aims to identify all existing of problems that occur around the bus terminal as well as the factors

that prove the truth that causes this problem to occur. In addition to looking at the role of the relevant parties or

other reasons related to cause of problems in this instance.

Transport can be defined as a concept which transfers the way place to another. Transport is divided into several

types, namely transport via lane transport by road, water and air transport. In this context, the main transportation

system is a system of lane transport which is seen more connects more places than other transport systems and so

on. Lane transportation system covers or relating to public transportation systems such as buses taxis, etc. The

existence of this system has led to the development of all related facilities with the public transport system. For

example bus terminal facilities, taxi and bus terminals as well and developed that area with fast.
