Bansal Institute of Engineering & Technology was established

in 2008. It under the aegis of Bansal Educational Trust,

registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 with an

aim of providing quality technical education. The Institute is

affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow and

approved by A.I.C.T.E, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India. The

Institute was inaugurated by renowned Sant Pt. Morari Bapu

jee and honorable Vice Chancellor of G.B.T.U, Lucknow.

The institute is located on the NH-24, Sitapur road at a

distance of only 3 Kms from Gautam Buddh Technical

University, Lucknow. Thus, being away from the crowd of the

In present era the field of electronics & communication plays an important role in almost every sphere of our life. Radio, Television, Telephones, Computers, Automobiles, Office machineries & home appliances, life saving medical equipments & space vehicles represent a mere sample in the wide spectrum of application of Electronics. Communication equipments such as Cellular phones have penetrated every layer of our society with rewarding opportunities in communication and navigation industries.

In BIET, the department of electronics and communication engineering provides both Undergraduate & Postgraduate programme. This mainly deals with the basic electronics components, design of circuits & systems, communications technologies and equipments. The department is established with well equipped laboratories and research facilities. These laboratories provide platform for learning not only theory but also practical aspects of electronics and communication engineering. he Department of Biotechnology at BIET Thighlights to the fascinating and emerging

world of biological sciences. It imparts training

to students to make them competent, motivated

engineers and scientists. The department has

eminent faculty members from diverse streams

and specializations. The department strives to

emerge as a leader in providing excellent

education in Biotechnology and to develop

cutting-edge technology through research,

training and technical innovation. The

The major thrust of the department includes biochemical engineering, tissue engineering, plant biotechnology and

he Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities at BIET is continuing from the Tdate of its formation for imparting teaching and promoting implementation of

theoretical & practical aspects of Applied Sciences to build a solid foundation as part of

the Engineering Education. Department provides strong foundation at the first year

stage so that the grasp of engineering streams becomes easily accessible. The clarity of

concepts in pure sciences go a long way to help them in engineering streams.

The department has five main streams, namely: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics,

Environmental Studies and English.

The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities at BIET is one of the

epartment of Business Administration provides a two-year post graduate degree course in Business Administration. The

department offers dual specialization in Marketing, Finance, International Business, Human Resource and Information DTechnology. The program is designed to impart knowledge and develop skills. The department aims to develop in the students an

analytical mindset, in-depth professional knowledge, passion for achievement and a socially responsive outlook. The department

holds the institutional membership of professional bodies like AIMA.

The MBA program is designed in a way to grow into an institute of excellence in imparting management education. To cater to the

rapidly growing needs for managerial manpower of the industry through provisions of well designed and well directed program of

The air-conditioned classrooms at BIET provide the most

conducive environment for dynamic and focused learning

and teaching. They are designed in such a manner so as to

facilitate customised attention to each student. The lecture

rooms are equipped with whiteboard & LCD Projector and

Audio Visual systems for effective learning.

2. Seminar and Conference Hall

The Institute has a well-equipped Seminar

Hall with a capacity of 200 people for conducting different

programmes. We have fully air conditioned and spacious

conference hall which has a seating capacity of 60 people with

complete audio visual systems.

3. Workshops

The institute has developed a well-equipped workshop for

the training of students. The workshop comprises of different

shops which provide facilities to the students to learn various

production, processes & seek exposure to industrial

machinery and equipments. The workshop has the following

shops: Carpentry shop,

shop, Welding shop, Sheet Metal shop, Machine shop,

Foundry shop.

Library is the backbone of any civilized society and heart of

any academic institution. Thus the Library also acquires a

prominent place among the students and faculty. The library

at BIET, is fully automated and air conditioned with a

collection of over 25,000 books of engineering as well as

management studies. We are the member of DELNET which

provides more than 1000 journals in the different fields of

Engineering and Sciences. Library at BIET has well furnished

reading rooms with the seating capacity of more than 200

users and has a very rich collection of reference books and

journals. Keeping in view the fast changes in technology, the

knowledge base of the library is updated regularly by way of

adding new literature in the form of text books, reference

books, reports, proceedings, abstracts & indexes,

encyclopedias, data books, standards (National &

International), Journals etc.

"Hostel serves as the home away from home". BIET has

separate on-campus hostel facility for both the Boys and Girls,

which is embedded with amenities such as a common room,

indoor games room, and a dining hall with mess. Students are

provided with 24×7 hours Wi-fi internet connectivity.

6. Mess & Cafeteria

As “health is an ultimate wealth”, nobody can ignore the

important role played by nutritious and hygienic food in

contributing to one's state of well-being. Far away from home

when students are intensively focusing on their career plans,

their health become a very sensitive issue. Thus with the aim

to provide BIET'ians with the best quality of snacks & food the

cafeteria & mess serves the delicacies of different Indian

cuisine of essential nutritional value and a pleasure for all the

students to relish their taste. Keeping in view the financial

limitations of the students, food is served at a very

economical price.

7. Playground

As we all know that “All work and no play makes jack a dull

Boy.” A sedentary life style and spending long hours of

engineering studies will deteriorate a healthy body. Our

beautiful playground for cricket, volleyball, badminton etc.

with all upgraded amenities gives space to students to flex

their muscles and stretch their limbs to uplift their sinking

moods and spirits. The institute is under process of

developing a swimming pool and a gymnasium.

8. Transport facility

The college provides bus facility for students and faculty

members both, so that the academic session can run

smoothly and timely. A fleet of vehicles ply between the

college and all important landmarks in the city so that

students may not be dependent on public transportation.

Medical facilities in the campus are available at any time. All

appropriate first Aid medical services are available at college.

10. Educational/Industrial Tour

The BIET also offers opportunity of Industrial Tour & Plant visit

for the Students which help them to interact with real life

situation. BIET regularly invites eminent scholars &

professionals from various industries for guest lectures and

seminars where they share their experiences with the

students.

11. Extra Curriculur Activities:

(a) Sports Week:

A “Healthy mind lives in a healthy body”, going by this saying

at BIET, apart from regular sports activities, we conduct a

sports week annually to recognize and nurture sporting

talents in our students.

(b) Cultural Activities:

We celebrate our annual function by the name of “SRIJAN”. In

SRIJAN-2013 different events were organized in cultural and

other socially relevant topics. Cultural events included group

dance, solo dance, group song, solo song, drama etc.

(c) Extensive Lectures & Seminars:

Acquiring knowledge and gaining exposure from the practical

world is the greatest value addition to the theoretical base

that can be availed by a student. The seminar committee

acknowledges the students' zeal for learning from the experts

of the corporate world and thus, arranges lectures and

seminars from time to time. These eminent personalities are

invited to the campus to share their knowledge with the

student and in a way guide the student to learn from their

(d) Robotics:

Robotics is the science that deals with the technology of

robots, their design, manufacture & applications. Robotics

offers tremendous job opportunities due to its application

from small level embedded systems to highly complex &

structured applications like space science, medical science

under water drones, industrial designs, farms, etc.

Robotics design and manufacture involves almost each

branch of Engineering. In BIET, regular Workshop on Robotics

and Embedded System design helps the students to

BIET organizes programmes like ROBOWAR, ROBORACE

which provides a competitive environment for object

oriented design and its practical implementation to the

students.

(e) Social Responsibility

v“Share blood - Share life” - Students from

B.Tech, MBA & even the faculty members

turned out in big numbers to contribute to this

social cause. There were doctors from King

Gorge Medical university who guided and

advised the volunteers and the donors. They

were also given a certificate of appreciation.

More than 100 units of blood was donated. We

hope that even in the future our institute

continues to render its name and support to

such social causes and help humanity in all the

ways we can.

In the pursuit of academic excellence, BIET has gone beyond formal and conventional education by providing in-house training in

collaboration with many companies on different technologies, such as ASP.net, VB.net, Core JAVA, Advanced JAVA, PHP etc. for

the students of Computer Science and Information Technology whereas in the field of Electronics and Communication, training is

being imparted to the students on PLC, SCADA, Embedded system & design and 8051 microcontroller programming. Designing of

Robotics with the use of AVR microcontroller. Along with this AUTOCAD, STADDPRO and many more module training is being

provided to the students of Civil and Mechanical Engineering.

Apart from this BIET is the remote centre for IIT Bombay, for its 10,000 teachers training programme which has been initiated by

Ministry of HRD to enhance teaching skills of engineering faculty members. At our center both the faculty members and students

attend the lectures delivered by the IIT professors and Industry experts, using multiway visual interaction techniques.

Since Oct. 2012 we have conducted several ISTE Workshops such as “ Effective teaching / learning of computer programming,

Database Management Systems and Research Methodologies for education technology”.

We are also an integral part of TCS ION which conducts competitive Online Exams using our Integrated Infrastructure.


Training and Placement Cell

The placement cell of BIET is in continuous interaction and in liaison with Corporate Houses and Govt. Undertakings. For industrial training and campus placement of the B.Tech, M.Tech & MBA students. This process is engaged through modern training facilities and innovative methodology which works for satisfying the objective of providing career guidance to students, and co-ordination with prospective external agencies/ industries/ companies and suitably catering the needs on both sides.

The placement cell of the college is managed by the Placement Committee consisting of placement officers, faculty members and student representatives. It aims at helping every student to plan his/ her career and find a job opportunity of his/her interest.

BIET has organized Mega Placement Fair as "BIET Job Fair 2013", held on April 13-14, 2013 with an overwhelming response from more than 1000 entries of job seekers and more than 25 Companies across the region. This event increased awareness of business and employment opportunities available in different fields and it has also enabled our students to discuss their career and training opportunities face to face with the employers.

Participating companies spanning across various industries included IT, Banking, Energy, Construction, Telecom etc and included brand names such as ICICI Pru, Dell, Infosys, Picasso, Jindal Electric machinery corporation, Trendsetterz, Marg software Solutions and many more.

Training and placement cell has very vital and active role to play. A set of processes that have been adopted to mould our students

are generally reflected through our placement records. We at Bansal Institute of Engineering & Technology, put conscious and

constant efforts through different sets of pedagogical tools to develop students holistically and make them industry ready, which

is more focused on imparting application based learning, to equip our students to meet contemporary challenges of corporate
