Welcome to The Connected Hub.
We are a new unit which has been set up for Year 11 students from throughout Brighton and Hove. We aim to provide a different way of learning for students through a mixture of small group study, work experience, vocational learning, e-learning, mentoring and enrichment activities.
Our curriculum is personalised and we have high expectations of all students.

Curricul We are working hard to develop our curriculum offer.
We work with a range of partners including City College, Foundation Learning Engagement Project,
Hove YMCA (Duke of Edinburgh), The Princes Trust, Rhymix and Albion in the Community. We also of course offer a core programme based around English and Maths, GCSEs and Functional Skills um
We personalise our programmes, for students in order to meet their learning style and academic and personal needs.
At The Connected Hub students work in small groups or in 1-1 sessions with staff during learning time.
We have a strong focus on mentoring and Personal and Social Education.
Other GCSE courses such as ICT and Science are available as appropriate or if a student identifies an area of interest.
Students also use some e-learning to help with their education.
Cur
We view student welfare and safeguarding as extremely important.
We believe that students need to feel safe and happy to help them to learn to the best of their ability.
We see physical, emotional and social health as all contributing to student well-being.Breakfast/snacks/hot drinks/fresh water are available free to all students.
A student recreation area is available for break and lunchtimes for students to relax, chat, watch films and play table tennis.

BeingWell-The Connected Hub ensures we value each student as an individual.
Mentoring sessions are part of every students provision and opportunities for students to build relationships with adults and other young people in formal and social settings are provided. We ensure we make referrals to other services and
agencies where appropriate and communicate with parents/carers where there is a concern about a student or to give positive feedback.
Our Anti-Bullying Policy and our actions arising from this means that we will not tolerate bullying and will always deal with incidents as they arise.
Our curriculum includes enrichment
activities and there is a weekly theme of the week.
We also organise workshops such as drink driving prevention and LGBT awareness.
All students have the opportunity to participate in the Jaguar Maths Challenge which can result in a Bronze CREST award. We are also developing links with universities.
