Between 5/2/2004 & 20/2/2004 the bunch of residents were at war with the system which

allowed parties with commercial interests to undertake a development project on the vacant

bungalow land sandwiched between Jalan Ara and Lorong Terasek Kanan.

The nightmare began with the opening of site along Lorong Terasek Kanan on 5/2/2004.

The residents were introduced to the filth of commercial development without warning.

What a horrible sight to see for the next 12 months of construction.

Imagine the congestion every time these big trucks dropped by with their load.

It is very inappropriate for the bulldozers to encroach the site using the narrow residents road at Lorong

Terasek Kanan. The developer was very high-handed in creating this opening thinking he has backing

    from higher up authority.

The rape of the green lung trees being chopped by developers workers. Why DBKL personnel were

not at the scene to investigate is a mystery. Normally enforcement in Bangsar is very good.

A sickening sight to see the chopping of trees. Picture taken on 7/2/2004. There was no DBKL

    enforcement to question the action.

Irresponsible encroachment by the developers heavy machineries into Lorong Terasek Kanan without

any regard to residents well-being. Picture taken on 7/2/2004.

The vacant lot (adjacent to the site) owned by NAZA group was turned into a car-park. It was on this lot

that the developer temporarily put all their equipment. Picture taken on 7/2/2004.

Picture taken on 7/2/2004. It was a daily affair that heavy machineries continue to use the entrance to

site which was constructed without residents consent. It reflects the high-handedness of the developer

    actions.

The sound of the electric handsaws was heard over a period of time as the trees were being fell. All in

the interest of commercial gains. Talk about conservation in an already densely populated housing

estate of Bangsar, this felling of trees is sure crap.

Can you see the dust pollution with the passing of heavy machineries in Lorong Terasek Kanan?

Is this the start of the pride of Bangsar? We now have al kinds of pollution : traffic, dust, noise, outsider

people encroachment, stench of garbage from eateries kitchen, indiscriminate parking by non-

    residents/workers.

    going.going.gone! No more trees.

Wooden structures up for the zinc fencing all round the perimeters of the site. Picture taken on

8/2/2004. The open-air landscape in front of the houses along Lorong Terasek Kanan will soon be a thing

    of the past.

    Bye Bye Trees!

The developer continue to show arrogance to the residents; the workers worked through the night

creating so much noise much to the chagrin of the residents.

The crane was seen lifting materials into the site from their temporary occupation of the car-park land

owned by NAZA. Picture taken on 19/2/2004.

Datuk George Joseph (BBRA President), Datuk Sharizat (Bangsar MP), YB Datuk Mohamad Shaid Bin

Mohd Taufek (KL Mayor). Back facing us is Sam Ho (developer) and Shirley Ng (tomboy looking

    landowner)

All heads on the floor plan. What crap.KL Mayor already had a pre-set mind in favour of the

    development order.
