VR194Provide flower essence therapy

The aim of this unit is to develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of flower essence theory and relate it to use on clients in a safe manner. The study of flower essences is a therapy that is not based on modern scientific practices. However, it is a subject of some complexity and its adherents require a qualification that regularises data within a framework that is insurable. Therefore the unit provides what is necessary for this particular skill to be applied and thus is the primary building block for a potential lifetime study.

This qualification is generic and not intended for any one range of flower essence products exclusively. You should be aware of the various flower essences available and be able to use them with clients. Case studies on a varied range of clients should be utilised in the course of gaining evidence for the qualification.

Achieving observations and range

VR1944

Achieving observation outcomes Achieving range

Your assessor will observe your performance of practical tasks. The minimum number of observations required is indicated in the evidence requirements section of this unit.

Criteria may not always naturally occur during a practical observation. In such instances you will be asked to produce supplementary evidence to demonstrate your competence in this area. Your assessor will document the criteria that have been achieved by producing supplementary evidence.

Your assessor will sign off an outcome when all criteria have been competently achieved.

The range section indicates what must be covered. Ranges should be practically demonstrated as part of an observation. Where this is not possible other forms of evidence may be produced. All ranges must be be covered.

Your assessor will document the portfolio reference once a range has been competently achieved.
