About the Programme

Participants will be given hands-on-training in software/hardware of their respective discipline followed by a quiz to test their depth of understanding. In the afternoon session the participants will be required to visit the projects displayed by their respective branches. The project display will be followed by a doubt clearing session and a quiz competition will be conducted to explore their understanding of the projects.

All participants will be issued a participation certificate and winners will be awarded Prizes.

Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of computer science and engineering focusses on building a strong foundation in the basics concepts like logical thinking and programming skills and exposing recent developments in computer science and engineering like SMAC technology (Social network analysis, Mobile computing, Analytics and Cloud computing) and Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence. The students are motivated to develop organizational and leadership skills apart from mastering technical skills through the students association by organizing and participating in workshops, guest lectures. Our experienced and dedicated faculty encourage the learning habits of the students inside and outside the class room as well as towards self learning.

Electronics and Communication Engineering

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering strives to produce top-notch engineers with global competence for industry, research and academia. The major objective of the department is to foster innovation, design, and creation of eco-sustainable products to meet the growing technological demands. The department has a team of committed faculty members who have great fascination towards teaching and research with knowledge in the areas of Applied Electronics, Communication Systems, Embedded Systems and VLSI Design. They strive hard to inculcate interest in students towards research and technology. The department also associates with various industries to create awareness about state-of- art technologies. In this process, department has established Centres of Excellence such as NI-Graphical System Design Centre and Keysight Centre for Excellence in RF design to promote and develop research capabilities of the students and faculty.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

We, the faculty members of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering are committed to transfer knowledge and skills in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering to our students. We facilitate our students to build a strong analytical mind, learn to work as part of teams, develop good communication skills, sustain the desire to learn, and develop leadership and management skills. Our department has a blend of highly-experienced as well as young and dynamic faculty members who work with enthusiasm to make learning enjoyable. Our well-equipped laboratories, and classrooms equipped with audio-visual systems provide a good learning ambience. Currently, our department offers the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering

Offers comprehensive education for Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering which attracts highly meritorious students. Emphasizes the role of engineers in contributing to the progress of the society. Has a fine blend of highly experienced and young faculty members with high academic credentials who work with enthusiasm to make learning meaningful. Fully equipped laboratories with sophisticated equipment that help practical training, research and consultancy activities.

Civil Engineering

Established in the year 2014, the Department of Civil Engineering is equipped with all infrastructural facilities required to impart high education and committed towards offering value based education to students. The laboratories are developed with state-of- art facilities. The department offers consultancies in the field of Geotechnical, structural, Environmental, Transport and infrastructural Engineering. Qualified and experienced members of faculty possessing Master’s and Doctorate degree in diverse specializations are involved in Teaching, Research and Consultancy activities.The Department has signed a MoU with Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) for training the students. The Department has established the Centre of Excellences such as Seismic Analysis Centre, GIS centre and Project Laboratory to promote and develop the research capabilities and the professional activities of the student. The department has also set up the “PSG iTech Bentley academic Hub” for enhancing the software skills of the Civil Engineering students.

About the Institution

PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTECH) has been established in the thyear 2014 as the 30 Institution under PSG & Sons charities. It is an AICTE approved institution,

affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Currently it offers five different programs in undergraduate level such as CIVIL, CSE, ECE, EEE and Mechanical Engineering. The institution is equipped with Centre of Excellence in various fields namely Innovation Centre, Festo Lab, Plumbing Lab, Centre for teaching - learning practices, NEXMOO Mobile and IoT centre, Product Application Centre, NI Graphical System Design Centre, CISCO Network Academy, e- Yantra etc. PSG iTECH aims to achieve excellence in education and research and nurture the Engineers with professional ethics and innovative practices.
