Making error in giving medication can cause serious complication to the client or it can lead to death.

a) Ask administration to produce medication box in the emergency room.

b) Make a letter addressing to the hospital administration for funding for the materials for making of the medication boxes.

c) Do a solicitation for donations to buy materials for making medication card.

d) The group will provide improvised color coded box for every area in the ESC.

Plan D is chosen because it is the most economical and feasible for the group to carry out.

Provide two medication boxes that is color coded representing a certain area in the ESC.By using the medication card in this emergency room, student nurses will be able to easily give and avoid error in giving medication to their patients.

By using this medication box we willprevent error in giving medication to the patients because all information are clearly there, so there's no reason make an error. We also need two medication boxes to separate the meds needed for every area, The first medication box is colored blue intented for all the medications needed to be given in the trauma area of the ESC. The second medication box is designed in an ascending manner intended to be used by the other areas of the ESC. Each platform is colored coded. Green for Ortho, Red for EENT, Orange for Urology and Violet for OB. By using this we will prevent error and multiple prescriptions of medication to the patients.

The medication boxes can be used in the emergency room as long as the patient is settled in the Emergency room. Although, a patient does not stay in the Emergency room for too long because they are admitted when needed, but it will help in any medication administration errors especially in busy areas such as the emergency room.Effectiveness:
