Motor Vehicle TheftMarch 2012
Activity Summary:
• There were two (2) motor vehicle thefts reported in March 2012. There were four (4) motor vehicle thefts
reported during the same time frame in 2011. This is a 50% decrease from 2011 to 2012.
• The incidents occurred in the D1 and D2 reporting areas.
• One (1) incident is open for further investigation and one (1) incident has been closed cleared unfounded.
Historically, HPD has an average of 5 motor vehicle thefts during the month of March with a current threshold of 3 to
7. This March, we were under the threshold with 2 reported MV Thefts.
Forecast for April:
The average number of MV Thefts for the month of April is 5 plus or minus 3. By the end of April, there is a 68%
chance HPD will have received between 2 and 8 reported MV Thefts.
