There were four (4) motor vehicle thefts reported during the same time frame in 2011. This is a 50% decrease from 2011 to 2012. The incidents occurred in the D1 and D2 reporting areas. One (1) incident is open for further investigation and one (1) incident has been closed cleared unfounded. Historically, HPD has an average of 5 motor vehicle thefts during the month of March with a current threshold of 3 to 7. This March, we were under the threshold with 2 reported MV Thefts. Forecast for April: The average number of MV Thefts for the month of April is 5 plus or minus 3. By the end of April, there is a 68% chance HPD will have received between 2 and 8 reported MV Thefts.
