Summary of the Works

• Implement urban cross section through Alton Village: • 1.8m sidewalks• Coloured impressed concrete splash pads• 4.0m lanes with ‘sharrows’ for bicycle traffic through Village, and 1.5m 

separate bicycle lanes from Beechgrove to start of Village area• Street beautification including:

• Rest areas with benches, waste receptacles and bicycle racks• Landscaping and planting features• Decorative lighting

• Stormwater management improvements including permeable pavers, CB shields, oil‐grit separators and new sewers

• Community parkette at Main and Queen intersection• Traffic calming gateway features north of Beechgrove Sideroad and at 

McClellan Road
