Introduction: What SPLUS has been?

SPORT PLUS: LOOKING UP NEW GOALS (SPLUS) has been a Youth in Action 8-day training course (TC),

under Action 4.3, that has been be organised and hosted by CESIE in Palermo.

field.

A close collaboration was established with “MediterraneoAntirazzista"– an intercultural event based on sport as

tool to promote inclusion processes within local communities- which is annually organised in Palermo. It gave a

strong added value to SPLUS and to learning path of the participants as well. Participants had the opportunity to

After that, they threw the ball of thread to another person, thus forming an informal network that can be seen. After everybody spoke, they tried to un-knit the net, by throwing the ball of thread back to the person they have received it from, saying his/her name.

The topics to discuss about were: 1) Inclusivity is what modern life is all about. 2) We are not asking to be included, we want

to participate and lead. 3) Inclusion is such a key component of

changing society. 4) Sport is not a solution for exclusion, but it
