Students are trained in writing, photography, design, business and emerging media. These are co-curricular courses and are practical arts credits. You must have approval from the instructor to sign up for these classes and must meet the prerequisites. You’ll do exactly what the professionals are doingStudents who are members of the publications staff work on both print and multimedia platforms writing stories, taking photographs, shooting video and designing for web and print products. In addition, we handle marketing and publicity, in the school and online through Facebook, Twitter, email and more.

The things you hear about happening for major publications in the print or digital world are the kinds of things we do daily. We have a Mac lab running Adobe software. If you love technology and pushing the envelope, the yearbook and newspaper are the place for you to be.
