I’m very excited about being president this year. I was a little apprehensive about taking the position. When Ginny coaxed “okay twisted my arm” I knew I wouldn’t be alone.
I know I have a wealth of friends to help me. There isn’t one of our members that I couldn’t go to for help and advice. As I look at our list of members I’m amazed at the talented photographers we have in our association. I can’t imagine what my business would be like without Indianhead.... “yes I can”, most likely I wouldn’t be in business. There isn’t a meeting that I have attended that I haven’t come back with a new marketing idea, a new Photoshop tip, or a new website to explore. That doesn’t even cover the emotional support I’ve received, especially these last seven years. We have laughed together, cried together but most of the time just had a lot of fun. This next year is going to be great!!!!! (I’ll get by with a little help from my friends) Jane Bores

Lew Everling Although most people first come to know Lew Everling as an extraordinarily gifted photographer, those who know him well understand that his passion for life is unquestionably his greatest talent. Lew has learned how to turn his passion into profit by thinking outside the realms of traditional photograph-ic thought with inventive marketing techniques and old-world service-oriented philosophies. He creates synergistic relation-ships with his subjects that ultimately lend depth and emotion to his images.
Twitter dee twitter dum, look out Wisconsin here I come! Viral and social networking made easy, I'll help take the guess work out of twitter and facebook get you connected quickly and build your network base with little to no cost at all.
From the age of 11 when he learned to make a black and white print on an elementary school field trip, Lew has immersed himself in photography. An avid volunteer with PPA, PPI and the American Diabetes Association, Lew owns a 1200 square foot studio/gallery in Kokomo, Indiana just minutes from a 3-acre portrait park.
Lew teaches new and established artists how to creatively promote themselves by embracing life-long learning opportunities, creating strong networking circles, and developing effective self-promotion collateral.

Truly I believe that photography is an heirloom… such a valuable treasure. Remember the images you value of your parents and grandparents? What will you leave behind?
I am Beau Petersen, photographer extraordinaire! Please let me tell you about myself, my family and my business, BP Photo.
Stillwater was my birthplace 32 years ago, but I was raised in New Richmond, Wisconsin. In 2001 I married my beautiful wife Bethany and 5 years later, our won-derful daughter Bijou was born. Usually I’m happiest when I’m around people and busy. Everyone that knows me considers me a “people person” and I’m fortunate to have friends all over Minnesota and Wisconsin. My mom told me that once when I was little I said, “I want to meet everyone in the whole world!” My faith is a huge part of my life, and I really enjoy teaching the Bible to others.
As a little guy growing up in New Richmond, I loved paging through my parents’ photo albums. When I was nine, my father Robert gave me a 110 camera. At thirteen I attended my uncles wedding and found myself fol-lowing around the photographer and taking my own pictures with my dads’ camera. The following year I bought my first 35mm camera. A year later, I photographed my first wedding. As a high school student, I contributed to the New Richmond High School yearbook and with the New Richmond News. I also took pictures for major concerts for five years. For fifteen years I did wedding photography on the side, about ten weddings per year. Photographing people was truly my passion! People know me as the ‘camera guy’ because I am always spon-taneously taking pictures of people.
In December of 2006 with my wife eight months pregnant, I was laid off from An-dersen Windows of Bayport, Minnesota. Although that was a scary time, this was truly a blessing in disguise. My wife and I decided to take my part time hobby and make it a career… and I love it! Photographing people is my passion. This led me to specialize in wedding photography because there is so much emotion to capture, making images from a wedding day timeless. Each wedding day is full of moments to photograph, which makes it the perfect format for me… I can’t stop moving! Bethany is my designer. Albums, cards, and anything else that needs designing is up to her. The custom album books we create are heirlooms to cher-ish and hand down to loved ones. With my storytelling photography and my wife’s eye for design, we are a stellar team!
It can be difficult to keep on top of the constantly evolving technology in the industry, but I enjoy that it keeps me on my toes, since I hate being bored! Recently I purchased all new top of the line gear for BP Photo. I am so excited about where we are at as a business.
