• Absorption is made by the deformation of hose controlled by compressed air

• Best result when the pick of maximum pulsation is +- 5 bar

• With 75% of outlet pressure air pressure input, pulsations absorption can be as much as 90%.

Pulsation dampener ALHP

• This dampener is design to fit at the hose pumps outlet.• The pulsation damper is made with a polyamide reinforced hose available in 3 qualities: Natural

Rubber (NR), Nitril (NBR) and EPDM.• This hose is situated inside a steel cylindrical hose filled up with air (cf. drawing).• The parts in contact with the pumped fluid will be, as on the hose pump, the hose and the inserts.• The inserts are also available in 3 qualities: 316L SS, PPH or PVDF.• The maximal pressure inside the hose 16 bars• Maximum air pressure 10 bars.

• The advantages of this pulsation damper are:1. reduction of the pulsation of the pump2. reduction of vibration and water hammer in your piping3. easy assembling because of the in line construction4. few parts in contact with the fluid

• Pulsation damper operation:1. The filling up of the pulsation damper with dry air is executed by the « T » located on the high point of

the pulsation damper (cf drawing).2. The air pressure inside the pulsation damper must be equal to 2/3 of the outlet pressure of the pump.3. The pressure setting is executed with a pressure gage reducer supplied with the pulsation damper.4. The operate maximum pressure of the pulsation damper is 10 bars (relief valve).5. A second gage could be installed on the pulsation damper (fitting ¼’’) (cf. drawing).

Example: ALH50 with pick of pulsation at 5 bars:

5 (l/bar) x 5 Bars = 25 liter tank

For the small pump, you may use a piece of closed pipe, (at least the ID than the hose) placed on a T connexion at the outlet of the pump. This pipe length will be a 2/3 of the pump hose size. Example: on ALH25: 75 cm

This system reduce the pulsation by 65%If not enough add 2/3 of the pulsation pressure in air pressure
