Audi A4/A5 front bumper grill

For Audi and its strategic partner Samvardhana Motherson Peguform (SMP), our PULSE™ GX50 was the material of choice for the front bumper grills of the new Audi A4; our first exterior application with PULSE™ GX50 globally.

The front bumper grills of the previous Audi A4 were made out of ASA/PA, a significantly more expensive material than PC/ABS. The inherent lower price level, together with the "4%" density and weight advantage of PULSE™ GX50 over competitive PC/ABS, offered SMP a solution at lower cost and weight.

PULSE™ GX50 successfully proved itself in advanced interior applications of premium automobile manufacturers such as Mercedes and BMW. Citroën Cactus structural part

For the Citroën Cactus' Airbump® manufacturing process, a uniform transparency and optimal color consistency in the underlying PC/ABS material was needed. PULSE™ GX50 delivers this specifi-cation due to the continuous mass polymerization technology Trinseo uses to produce its ABS resins. Weight reduction and a good spiral flow were further important requirements that could be fulfilled easily.

BMW i3 interior parts

The interior of the BMWi3 is a prime example for the perfor-mance of unpainted parts in cars. The customized UV stabilised and coloured PULSE™ GX50 UVB grade delivers a matte high quality look to the interior of the BMW i3.
