Cedarmount Vets believe that a proactive, preventive approach to your pet’s healthcare is far better than waiting until your pet is vulnerable, ill or suffering to put things right. Our Cedarmount Care Puppy Pack gives you all the preventive health care you need for the first few months with your new pup, rolled into one simple package, giving you peace of mind and over 50% discount as well! As soon as you get your new puppy you should bring him / her in for a health check, even if they have had vaccines already, so we can meet them and get their details registered. We will give them a full health check, just incase there are any problems from the start, and organise their vaccination and parasite schedule. How much is it? Free first Health Check. Full vaccination course** with full health check with each vaccine. Microchip. Free bag Royal Canin puppy food. Royal Canin voucher for premium quality pet food worth up to £35.95 over 12months. 4 weeks FREE insurance with PetPlan. Free adolescent health check at 6 months. 10% off neutering. Free nurse health checks, nutritional advice, nail clipping etc. **Vaccination against Canine Parvo Virus, Canine Distemper Virus, Canine Adenovirus, Canine Parainfluenza and Canine Leptospirosis. (Full value over £120!) Targeted Parasite Protection for Puppies. All puppies need regular worming treatments as they are infected when in their mother’s womb and from their mother’s milk. We strongly advise worming from 2 weeks of age, or as soon as you get your new pup, with a veterinary licensed wormer every 4 weeks until 6 months. After 6 months worming should continue at least every 3 months but in higher risk households, e.g. with young children, we advise worming every month to eliminate any chance of the children becoming infected by Toxocara eggs from the dogs hair or in the environment. Monthly worming with Milbemax will also prevent lungworm infection. Puppies can also have fleas, lice, ear mites or other mange mites but we will check for these when in for their health checks. Regular flea & tick treatments will prevent any infection of your puppy and their environment – your house. Once they get out socialising there is always a risk of picking up these troublesome parasites so continued regular treatment with our veterinary licensed products gives you, and your pup the safest, most effective protection available. We have various options for treatment – please ask your vet today.
