Mobile App• Good information but hard
for user to remember.• Very professional, however
may not be the thing common people want
• Passive: with no visualized information and interact function
Our Solution
• Provide live refrigerator information• Keep track on all the food user purchased
and build inventory list with detailed information for user to interact.
• Send warning and reminding when foods are going bad
Tasks Overview
The functional prototype followed three basic tasks: Food Storage History ReviewWarning Summary
Food Inventory Maintenance
Lo-fidelity Prototype
Our prototyping progressed throughout the project:
• Paper Mock Ups• Balsamiq Models• Interactive Website and
Mobile Application
User testing performed on ourBalsamiq model helped shape the future of our program
• Witty names• Ease of navigation• Labeling of graphics
Mid-Fidelity User Testing
Our primary interactive prototype was a mobile application.
• Android Operating System• Some functionality was dictated by system

User Testing
User Testing (contd)Rank Description Suggested Changes
4 repeatedly go back to previous screens in order to get back to home screen
add a home screen button
4 strain eyes to see words make font size bigger
3 click on selection bar instead of words
make selection bar selectable
2 click item and then remove instead of reverse
make applicable for both ways
1 submit item without completing all fields
include * for required fields
Conclusion• Contributions
