way to make this year memorable for our students is with a unique 4th Grade t-shirt. The students

voted on a design for the front of the shirt and all of their names will appear on the back. The design

Los Tigres de Putnam Valley Spanish Class

Come enjoy learning Spanish in a fun environment through games and activities from Mexico. This is a

hands on class, with games like Mexican Bingo (Loteria), tongue twisters, rhymes, and music. Each

session will be planned according to the season of the year. We will cover basic Spanish like colors and

numbers. Also basic conversation, writing and reading according to the children's level of Spanish and

school grade. Vamos!

This program is all about FUN. Children love games and the element of surprise. Once a week, for 5 weeks, I will bring my surprise box, which contains various objects. My monkey puppet "Hammy" reaches inside the box, prompting us to play a particular game. We play drawing games, story games, puppet games, Play-Doh games, word games ... all types of neat stuff. The games and activities are designed to facilitate decision making skills, problem solving, and self-confidence. Below you'll see 4 sessions throughout the year. You can sign-up for one or more sessions at one time, or sign-up throughout the year for future sessions.

Lego Engineering Academy

Focused on building an interest in science and engineering, Lego Engineering Academy is a hands-on program designed to stimulate your child's creativity. Critical thinking, collabo.ration, problem solving skills and descriptive:clanguage will also be developed as your child constructs models with Lego components.

Classes will be divided into 4 segments. Children will: start exploring with a "free build" time before they learn a new technique or strategy. They will then be presented with a "partner challenge", where. they will be asked to collaborate with their peers to solve a specific problem. The class will end by encouraging students to reflect on observations, investigations arttf problem solving strategies used throughout the class.
