This range of Flow Sensors fromHonsberg, operate on the proven‘calorimetric’ principle. This principleuses two temperature sensors whichare in close contact with the medium tobe measured but have good thermalinsulation with respect to each other.

One of the sensors is constantly heatedand therefore, if the medium is station-ary, a constant temperature differencewill be obtained between the twotemperature sensors

However, when the medium is flowing,heat is drawn from the heated tempera-ture sensor and the temperaturedifference changes.
