This art project brings together some of the area's most dynamic artists who have worked their artistic magic on these boxes.
The following artists created "desirable works of art" from 10 of the Washington CityPaper's public streetboxes: Gretchen Schermerhorn, Maggie Michael. Marty Ittner, Cara Hunt, Franc Rosario, Adam Griffiths Rebecca Katz, Elizabeth Graeber, Anne Albagli & Sabeth Jackson.

Art-making Happy Hours At
Pyramid
Work along side fellow artists at our monthly group "open studios". All groups are $10 for members and $20 for non-members each.

Letterpress Happy Hour on the first and

pancake breakfast hosted by Chef Daniel Beavin at Pyramid Atlantic. For just $5 you can enjoy a plethora of pancakes, fruit, juice and coffee and
enjoy vegetable and fruit printmaking activities for the whole family.
Proceeds from our pancake breakfast will benefit Pyramid Atlantic’s arts & education programs.

Playback Theatre in
the Gallery

Playback Theatre is an original form of improvisational theatre in which audience
or group members tell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot.
Synergy in Action, led by Artistic Director Kimberly Rattley is a playback theatre company located in Washington, DC that performs regularly at Pyramid Atlantic. The company consists of a diverse group of artists from the DC Metro Area committed to building healthy communities one story at a time.

Art, and Cultures of Muslim and Arab Women

We the People Project 2011, Speak Your Mind.
We the People Project 2011: The Lives, Art, and Cultures of Muslim and Arab Women is an exhibition presentation and a one-day cultural event that celebrates the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Muslim and Arab community in the DC Metro area presented by Empowered Women International (EWI).
The program includes a four-week juried mixed media group exhibition of Muslim and Arab women artists living in the DC Metro area from June 1st though June 25th, along with a one-day event on June 11th, that features talks by the presenting artists, and art demonstrations in calligraphy, miniature paintings and textile art decoration by some of the finest local Muslim and Arab artists.
Pyramid Atlantic is proud to work with EWI and looks forward to this amazing day of art.

Look What's In The
Glass Studio

Come and see the great work of the youth in Kari and Jon's glass class. This is a great opportunity to see what middle school students can do with the medium of fused glass.
They have been working on their craft all year. So check them out and peek into Kari's studio and see what she has been up to as well.
