WHAT THE QA AUTOMATION DEVELOPER DOES The QA Automation Developer is responsible for assisting with the creation and execution of automated testing during the development, SQA, and production cycles. Duties will include but are not limited to: § Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines: Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently. § Contribute to design of automated test framework. § Develop and execute test protocols, document results, and communicate with developers. § Must be able to work on a collaborative team using scrum methodologies. Must be able to participate during the requirements phases through to the release phase. Must be able to work closely with developers on each sprint. § Utilize issue tracking system to record results, identify new needs, and triage quality assurance concerns (JIRA) § Ability to review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables. § Ability to perform backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment including validating stored procs, jobs and triggers. § Develop, document and maintain functional test cases § Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results. § Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. § Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes. § Maintain and troubleshoot problems that stem from page design or browser interpretation of page programming. § Reviews computer operating log to identify program processing errors. § Conducts compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs. § Develop, maintain and promote excellent customer service at all times EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE § Minimum 5 to 7 years software QA experience, preferably backend testing § Ability to script and execute test cases § SQL proficiency § Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a computer science field recommended. § Must either have or develop a working knowledge of PADI Educational systems. § Must have excellent organizational skills.

§ Must have working knowledge of: basic .net framework, XML, classic ASP, IIS config, C#,

CSS, understanding of different browsers. § Understanding of Object Oriented programming § Understanding of Visual Studio.net (Team Developer edition) § Understanding use of Team Foundation Server 2013 § Understanding of Unit Test Harnesses (NUnit and Team Foundation Testing) § Knowledge (how to use stored procedures and fundamentals of relational databases), basic

knowledge of various MS data access objects and their use. § Must have advanced understanding of SQL server. Transact SQL, tables and views.
