Greetings! September 9, 2020 We are excited that you are joining us for the first annual Insurance Roundtable conference. This year’s virtual conference will integrate presentations by thought-provoking industry leaders and opportunities to engage with insurance and risk management peers from across the global development sector. The purpose of this inaugural event is to build a community of engaged insurance and risk management professionals in order to strengthen global development organizations and the communities served. The virtual conference will begin with a Round Robin discussion, where one representative from each organization will be invited to share their top insurance/risk management accomplishment from last year and top challenge to be addressed this coming year. Next, three sessions will focus on the state of the market, specifically property and casualty, accident and health, and professional lines. Then four practicums will dive into risk management, contractual risk transfer, alternative risk transfer, and the practitioner experience. Finally, a community discussion will provide opportunities to share, listen, and engage with one another about interests in this Insurance Roundtable network. Please note that the first session (Round Robin) will be for practitioners only (e.g., NGOs, universities, and foundations). All other sessions will be open to all attendees. Here are a few critical logistical notes for this virtual conference.

STATE OF THE MARKET: PROPERTY AND CASUALTY Nick Robson, Marsh JLT Specialty 10:25 AM – 10:55 AM EDT | 3:25 PM – 3:55 PM BST The effects of COVID-19 have resulted in unprecedented stresses on the global insurance market, accelerating some trends already underway and adding downward pressure on sovereign credit

ratings around the world. In this session, Nick Robson will address some of the financial underpinnings of the current market, expanding on Moody's and Marsh data, and share his thoughts on the impacts this may have in the future. STATE OF THE MARKET: ACCIDENT, HEALTH, AND TRAVEL SECURITY RISKS 2020 Sam Aiken and Ashley Coates, Price Forbes 10:55 AM – 11:25 AM EDT | 3:55 PM – 4:25 PM BST COVID-19 has shaken up the travel and security risk insurance market as insurers with significant exposure to business interruption claims are scrambling to respond. The Financial Times predicts that COVID-19 is doubling select insurance prices. As insurers limit balance sheet damage to prevent future losses, underwriters grow more stringent by examining losses, safety records, financials, and client risk management processes. Sam and Ashley will discuss the impact of insurance covers like business, travel accident, and evacuation on global development organizations with significant international travel exposures. STATE OF THE MARKET: PROFESSIONAL LINES Andrew Rowling, CAC Specialty 11:25 AM – 11:55 PM EDT | 4:25 PM –4:55 PM BST Global insurance premiums are on the rise and the general consensus is that Directors & Officers Liability and related Management and Professional Liability lines are leading the way.
