Sir/ Madam,

I am to state that the General Body of this council at its meeting held on 22/11/2016considered the Compliance Verification Assessment Report (04/0'1/2016) along with theCouncil Assessor's report (May, 2014 and 14.07.2015) and compliance dated 21/11/2015submitted by the college authorities on the standard of examination and other teaching facilitiesavailable at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune for purpose of Recognition of MD(Paediall'ics)qualification against increased intake from 05 to 08 seats granted by Maharashtra University ofHealth Sciences, Nashik.

The Council approved the following recommendations of the Postgraduate Committee,which 1am directed to convey herewith for your information and necessary action.-

"The Postgraduate Medical Education Committee considered the ComplianceVerification Assessment Report (04/04/2016) along with the Council Assessor's Report(May, 2014 and 14.07.2015) and compliance dated 21/11/2015 submitted by the collegeauthorities and decided to recommend to the Central Govenunent that MD(Paediall'ics)qualification against increased intake from 05 to 08 seats granted by MaharashtraUniversity of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at ArmedForces Medi611 College, Pune be recognized and included in the Ist Schedule to thel.M.C. Act, 1956.

The Postgraduate Medical Education Committee further decided that the recognition sogranted shall be for a maximum period of 5 years from U1edate of Notification uponwhich the Institute shall have lo apply for renewal of recognition. Failure to seek timelyrenewal of recognition as required shall invariably result in stoppage of admission to thePostgraduate Course.".
