Quintana Sales & Services Ltd (QSSL), is a registeredCompany in accordance with the Laws of Trinidad andTobago. QSSL was established in 1972 amidst thedevelopment of American and European owned oil andother petrochemical business corporations in our twin islandrepublic. Our identity has been crafted on a foundation ofquality and service that has been incomparable in the hydro-blasting business.

Initially a procurement and logistics company in 1972, QSSLhas evolved into one of the preferred providers in the field ofhydro-blasting in Trinidad and Tobago as well as otherCARICOM nations in the petrochemical sector. A contributingfactor to the company’s success is allotted to the history ofthe company where its basis for success is rooted in itsstrength, stability, progress and growth. Despite the declinein the oil industry in the early eighties due to a shift from oilto the exploration and exploitation of Natural Gas, QSSLremained a relevant contractor in the Energy sector.

In 1996, QSSL was acquired by its current stakeholders, whohad a vision to further extend our services into otheravenues. Since then, stringent financial strategies andoperational re-engineering allowed QSSL to evolve into astrong and stable entity that it is to date.

The mainstay of QSSL has and continues to be the energysector as we are able to maintain excellent service to ourexisting customers while constantly building our customerbase. What began as a very small operation in hydro-blasting, in the yard of the directors and managers, has nowgrown into a medium size operating company. QSSL hassince expanded into civil and piping contracting within theconstruction sector. Resilient and stable is what QSSL truly is.

QSSL acknowledges that innovation and diversification are key factors to a firm’s competitiveadvantage. As a result, we have started a new project geared toward the sales of industrial andmunicipal High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes and fittings.In partnership with Performance Pipe (A Division of Chevron Phillips) and ADS, we haveobtained the rights to be the agent for the distribution of HDPE pipes and fittings withinTrinidad and Tobago.HDPE pipes is a leading innovation that can be utilized in the following areas:· Water, Sewerage and wastewater piping systems· Oil, gas gathering and energy piping systems.HDPE pipes and fittings are the preferred choice in other countries and since it is suited foraggressive conditions such as that of our local climate and terrain. These pipes are available indifferent sizes.An innovative component with HDPE pipes is the joining of pipes through heat fusiontechnology. This reduces the chances of leakages usually caused by faulty connection of pipesusing gasket joints. To facilitate the use of heat fusion technology, QSSL has partnered withMcElroy to provide fusion machinery.

At QSSL Safety Matters

Safety is a priority of QSSL. This is a burning issue in which all firms ensure that they conformto the laws and regulations which govern it. QSSL ensures that its employees as well as itsworking environment conform to safety regulations set out by law. It is imperative that safetyis taken seriously in the industries in which we operate for the wellbeing of both ouremployees and the environment.In keeping with the regulations of the energy sector, QSSL have attained STOW (Safe To Work)certification of conformance from 28th January 2014 to 27th January 2015 and will be updatedaccordingly. In addition, regular maintenance and necessary replacement of plant andequipment are done.

QSSL makes certain that all employees are trained and are educated on the necessary safetyregulations and procedures. As a measure to motivate employees to work safely, QSSL rewardsthe safest worker with a token. This safety incentive is conducted on a monthly basis.
