Mountain View CA (PRWEB) February 23, 2012 -- Quintel®, a leading innovator of network and space efficient antennas for wireless networks, has just completed the development of the world's first 8- Port/Quadband Slimline Antenna. The Quintel MultiServ Quadband 8 Port Antenna with patented QTilt™ technology uniquely delivers four independent services in a single slim-line 12” wide antenna. This enables existing antenna-constrained sites to be upgraded to LTE in both 700 & AWS bands with the replacement of one like for like antenna. Quintel antenna solutions enhance network efficiency, improve quality of service, mitigate tower loading concerns and lower environmental impact – with the lowest cost per transmitted bit. The Quintel MulitServ Quadband 8 Port Antenna is an ideal solution for independently optimizing multiple services when rapidly introducing new services. Technology agnostic, each band provides flexibility for existing and future technologies such as GSM/EDGE, UMTS/HSPA, CDMA/EVDO, LTE/LTE-Advanced and MIMO implementations. The tilt of each band is controlled independently via internal RET actuators compliant to AISG1.1, AISG2.0 and 3GPP protocols. In addition to independent tilt per band the Quintel MultiServ Quadband 8 Port Antenna uniquely offers tilt per polarization for the legacy bands. This gives a total of 6 independent tilts 1x(698-787MHz) + 2x(824-894MHz) + 2x(1850-1990MHz) + 1x(1710/1755,2110/2170MHz) enabling additional applications such as spatial + polarization diversity, sectorization in the vertical plane, high power PIM3 mitigation and other specialized applications. For those markets that have PCS and AWS spectrum which, when combined, will generate inter-band PIM3 interference, this antenna will allow for the combination of those bands on the same polarization for up to either 40W of composite power for each band, or 60W AWS and 30W PCS. “Operators can now obtain the optimal antenna location to achieve coverage and capacity goals over the major North American frequency bands reducing opex per subscriber,” said Joe Veni, Quintel’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development. “Infrastructure providers likewise can extract the maximum capacity for minimum cost from their physical sites now without incurring the cost of tower upgrades and redevelopment directly increasing tenancy ratios.” The Quintel Solutions Unlike conventional multi-port antennas, Quintel’s portfolio empowers operators to reduce unnecessary infrastructure and thereby allowing them to more quickly and efficiently expand their services and networks. Four years of North America, European and Indian deployments, are demonstrating positive and measurable performance and economic results relative to operator coverage through height gain, increased antenna consolidation, and additional cost savings on both initial capital outlays and recurring operating expenses. By benefiting from a combination of antenna consolidation and optimal height gain, operators deploy faster, with lower costs, and fully maintain their desired quality of service with complete reliability and minimal downtime.
