Before You Begin Installation: Congratulations on your purchase of theQuadraTop Clearview Windstopper!This high quality roll bar curtain is de-signed to enhance fair weather drivingpleasure while limiting wind buffeting,providing shade and minimal shelterfrom light rains. We have used only thefinest materials in creating this curtainbut like any product that is exposed tothe elements, there is some generalmaintenance that is required to keep itlooking like new. Please see page 9 forthese important maintenance tips.

When unpacking, check to make sure allparts are included. If any part is missing or broken, please call Quadratec Customer Service at 800-745-6037as soon as possible.

Important: Make sure you become famil-iar with the installation process of thistop by reading the following instructionsheet thoroughly. As you will see, theseinstructions are broken-out dependingon the model year/generation of yourJeep CJ or Wrangler (YJ or TJ) vehicle.

Important: For a smooth fit and ease of installation, this product should be installed at temperatures above 72degrees. Below this temperature, thefabric may contract an inch or moremaking it difficult to install. Wehighly recommend taking the product out of the package and letting it sit inside a warm place or direct sunlight for 1-2 hours before you install the top. When warm, this product will install quickly.

It is normal for fabric and soft glass tocontract and wrinkle when stored in theshipping carton. In a few days the fabricwill relax and wrinkles will disappear.Thank you again for your purchase andlet’s start the installation process!

BEFORE DRILLING ANY HOLES IN FLOOR AREA, BE SURE TO CHECKFOR WIRING AND/OR FUEL LINES. DO NOT DRILL TOO DEEP.THE DRILL SHOULD ONLY LIGHTLY PENETRATE THE FLOOR METALAND THEN BE RETRACTED.

AFTER INSTALLATION, DO NOT REMOVE ANY FOOTMAN LOOPS OR ZCHANNEL FROM YOUR VEHICLE. IF FUTURE REMOVAL BECOMESNECESSARY, MAKE SURE ALL SCREW HOLES WILL BE COVEREDWITH A SILICONE SEALANT TO MAKE WEATHER TIGHT.

SECURE ALL CENTER/TOP S TRAPSOrient the Clearview Windstopper withthe window toward the top and withthe vinyl side facing to rear of vehicle.

Start at the top andwrap the four topstraps around thesport bar, betweenthe sport bar and theSound Bar, if one ispresent. Then threadthe end of each strap

through each buckle. Loosely tighteneach strap to hold the Windstopper inposition. Repeat this procedure with theside straps. It may be necessary to liftup slightly on the Fold Down Bow towork the middle strap underneath, inorder to wrap it around the sport bar.

INSTALL FLOOR FOOTMAN LOOPS Fold the front seats forward and locatethe Footman Loop Kit in the parts kit.Center a Foot-man Loop on thefloor of the vehi-cle below each ofthe straps sewnto the bottom of the Windstopper. Be-fore drilling, check for wiring or fuellines underneath the vehicle.

Use the holes inthe FootmanLoops as guidesto mark, centerpunch and drillfour 1/8" holes.Seal the edgesof the holeswit h SiliconeSealer. Installthe Footman

Loops using the four screws from theFootman Loop Kit. We suggest you donot remove footman loops once they areinstalled, but if you do, be sure to sealall holes with silicone sealer.

USING THE WINDSTOPPERLOWER CENTER FLAPTo open the center flap in the CabCurtain, unsnap the flap on each side.Roll the flap up, and snap it to the studon the vinyl side of the Cab Curtain.

Install complete for ’80-’02 Vehicles!

INSTALL SNAPS FOR TONNO ONWINDSTOPPER FLAP FOR CLOSURELocate the flap sewn to the rear of theWindstopper. Pull the flap out over thetop of the front edge of the Tonno CargoCover. Pull up on the front, reinforcededge of the Tonno Cargo Cover andmark the locations matching the threesnaps on the Windstopper flap, on thematerial along the top of the Tonno.

At the marked locations, push the sharpend of a Snap Head Screw through theCargo Cover from the backing side, tomake a hole. Once a hole is formed, pullthe screw back out of the hole. Thenpush the screw through the hole fromthe vinyl side so that the snap is on top

of the vinyl. Thread an Acorn Locknutover the pointed end of the Snap HeadScrew. Snap the Tonno Cover and Wind-stopper together with the three snaps.

THREAD BOTTOM STRAPSTHEN TIGHTEN ALL STRAPSGently pull down on the bottom ofthe Cab Curtain fabric and thread theends of the straps on the bottomthrough the Footman Loops and backthrough the buckles. Tighten all of thestraps on the Cab Curtain, top, sidesand bottom. Windstopper now in place.

SECURE ALL CENTER/TOP S TRAPSOrient the Clearview Windstopper with

the window toward the top and withthe vinyl side facing to rear of vehicle.Start at the top and wrap the four topstraps around the sport bar. Thenthread the end of each strap througheach buckle. Loosely tighten each strapto hold the Windstopper in position. Re-peat this procedure with the side straps.It may be necessary to lift up slightly onthe Fold Down Bow to work the middlestrap underneath, in order to wrap itaround the sport bar.

INSTALL “Z” CHANNELFold the front seats forward and locatethe “Z” Channel in the parts kit. Orientthe channel so that, when installed, theopening will be down. Place the channelon the vertical face of the riser betweenthe front and rear floors, centered in theflat area in the middle of the vehicle.The top edge of the channel should beflush with the top of the riser. Use theholes in the channel as guides to mark,center punch and drill five 1/8" holes.Install the channel using the five #8 x 1"Pan Head Screws from the parts kit.

NOTE:It is easier to drill holes by either slittingthe carpet with a 1/2” “X” shape toaccess the sheet metal, or center punchthrough the carpet, remove the carpetand drill the necessary holes - then addsmaller slits in the carpet to access theholes for attachment. After drilling theholes for the Z Channel in the floor riser,put silicone sealer on the holes beforeinstalling the channel with the screws.If the vehicle is equipped with a factoryconsole, it will be necessary to leave thecenter screw out of the Z channel.

SECURE THE CLEARVIEWWINDSTOPPER TO Z CHANNELGently pull down on the bottom of theWindstopper fabric and slip the plasticstrip sewn on the bottom of the fabricinto the Z Channel installed earlier.Once the plastic strip is in place in theZ Channel, fasten the web straps on thedoor to the fuzzy “loop” strips on eitherside of the opening. Adjust the plasticstrip if necessary. Tighten up all thestraps. The install is complete!

TO OPEN THE CENTER FLAPTo open the center flap in the Windstop-per, pull on the Web “hook” Straps atthe bottom of the door to release themfrom the fuzzy “loop” Strips. Roll thedoor and fasten the Web Straps to theLoop Strips on each side of the top ofthe door.

Your QuadraTop accessory is made ofthe finest materials available but to keepit looking new and for the maximumpossible wear, it will need periodiccleaning and basic maintenance. Themain threats to your soft top are pollu-tants, dirt and grime. By keeping yourproduct clean you will prolong its life.We recommend the following to keepyour top like new:

Washing: The soft top fabric should bewashed often using a mild soap, warmwater and a soft bristle brush. You canalso use special soft top cleaners avail-able on our website at quadratec.comMake sure that after cleaning you rinsewith clear water to remove all traces ofsoap to avoid residue.

Zippers: Keeping the zipper cleaned andlubricated with a silicone lubricant(available online) will help prevent dam-age and keep the zippers in a smoothworking condition. If zipper opens be-hind the slider, the slider may have beenspread apart. This problem can usuallybe fixed by using an ordinary pair of pli-ers to bring the sides back into parallel.Return slider to the end of the zipper inthe normal Open position. Squeezelightly at first and test zipper. If the zip-per continues to remain open squeezemore firmly with pliers and try the zip-per again. Repeat procedure until yourzipper operates correctly.

Windows: It is very important that youkeep your QuadraTop windows clean!Use a mild soap and water solution togently clean your windows. NEVERwipe your windows clean with a drycloth! Dust and dirt on a dry cloth canscratch your windows causing “fog-ging” and permanent damage. When re-moving your windows, store them witha towel between the panels/rear win-dows to protect them from damage. Iffrost or ice forms on the outside of yourwindows during the winter, DO NOTuse an ice scraper to remove this frost.Over time you will see small microscratches in your windows which arenatural wear and tear. These Microscratches can be “polished” out usingthe window polish available atQuadratec.com.

Water/Fabric: In the event of seepingthrough the seams, 3M Scotchgard®

may be applied on the inside of theseams to stop the leak . Rips in the fabricmay be repaired with Bondex® iron onpatches. Iron the patches to the Insideof the top, carefully following theBondex® instructions.

Snaps: Not all models have snaps. Ifpresent, keep snaps cleaned and lubri-cated with silicone to help preventsnaps from sticking to the studs. If asnap does become stuck to a stud, use ascrewdriver and GENTLY pry apart toprevent permanent damage to the snapor the top fabric.

Your QuadraTop Clearview Windstopper is cov-ered by the following Limited Warranty providedexclusively by Quadratec, Inc. 1028 SaundersLane, West Chester, PA 19380.

This Limited Warranty is the only warranty madein connection with purchase. Quadratec neitherassumes nor authorizes any vendor, retailer orother person or entity to assume for it any otherobligation or liability in connection with thisproduct or Limited Warranty.

What is Covered:Subject to the terms, exclusions and limitationsherein and with respect only to soft tops first soldin the United States, Quadratec warrants to theinitial retail purchaser only that your QuadraTopClearview Windstopper shall be free of defects inmaterial and workmanship for a period of 3 yearsfrom date of initial retail sale.

All other warranties are hereby disclaimed, exceptto the extent prohibited by applicable law inwhich case any implied warranty of merchantabil-ity or fitness for a particular purpose on this prod-uct is limited to 3 years from date of initial retailsale. Quadratec reserves the rights to: (a.) requireinvoice or other proof your product is within theterms of this Limited Warranty as a condition ofwarranty service and, (b.) make future revisions tothis product and Limited Warranty without priornotice or obligation to upgrade your product.
