If you are visiting with us today please feel free to participate. We will sing and pray to the Lord and express our
adoration and thanksgiving for all the blessings He freely gives. We will have an offering this morning and we do not
want our visitors to feel obligated in any way. There is an infant nursery located through the double doors located to
the left of the pulpit. The toddler nursery is located up the stairs in the foyer. A children’s worship is provided for
children ages 18 months through 4 on the second floor which will be announced during our service. Please turn your
cell phone ringers off during our service.

Happy New Year! What a great opportunity we have as a congregation of God’s people in 2018. There is so much we can do together. Our Lord blesses us when we do good. This year I hope we can take advantage of all our opportunities.
When we get the opportunity to do good, let’s do it! (Galatians 6:9)
When we get the opportunity to help others, let’s do it! (1 Corinthians 12:28)
When we get the opportunity to worship God, let’s do it! (Hebrews 12:28)
When we get the opportunity to encourage each other, let’s do it! (Hebrews 13:13)
When we get the opportunity to speak a kind word, let’s do it! (Proverbs 12:25)
When we get the opportunity to study the Bible, let’s do it! (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
When we get the opportunity to visit our shut-ins, let’s do it! (Matthew 25:36)
When we get the opportunity to spread God’s Word, let’s do it! (1 Thess. 3:2)
When we get the opportunity to be a good example, let’s do it! (Titus 2:7)

The success of our congregation depends on us being willing and able to do these types of things. This new year will be challenging at best. Let’s all strive for an “A” for effort this year. noon in the Family Life Center. Please plan to
bring your donations starting January 31st. If

run the sale.
Southside will join Hopkinsville Church of Christ on
Wednesday evening, January 31st, for a Fifth
Wednesday singing service. Meet at Hopkinsville Church
of Christ at 7 PM (425 Sheila Drive) and enjoy a time of
singing and fellowship.
Thank you so much for the flowers after my surgery. It was great to get them my first day back at school. That was a tough day, and they really helped to brighten my day. I appreciate so much the church

David Morrow had surgery last week to remove a mel-anoma from his face. John Bruce had gall bladder and hernia surgery last week. Kenneth Morris is recover-ing from surgery and will undergo rehab. He won’t be able to resume cancer treatments for several weeks. Kathy Armstrong is undergoing rehab at Bradford Heights. Dorothy Newcomb has a broken hip and is undergoing rehab at Bradford Heights. Bob Pickerill had gall bladder surgery recently.
