ProtocolData from EXIoT devices is moved using Wirepas Mesh protocol that provides message encryption and authentication. Gateway communicates with cloud functionality using encrypted TLS protocol over ethernet or cellular connection.

Connectivity 2.4 GHz / Wirepas
Gateway connects a mesh from few to hundreds of luminaires and sensor nodes to backends. It collects, processes and transmits data to the cloud. When there is a need for high density of connected devices, a mesh network is the perfect solution for connectivity. Gateway comes with preloaded support for Wirepas Mesh.

Air Quality (VOC) Detects a broad range of gases to measure air quality, including VOC
Temperature and Humidity High-precision temperature sensor, accuracy max +/- 0.2 °C. 0 to 100 % RH operating range. +/- 4 % typical accuracy error.
Barometric pressure Pressure range 300 – 1100 hPa, typical error +/- 1 hPa. Ambient light Approximate the human-eye response. High accuracy requires a direct line of sight to the sensor (on the right side of the node button).

Node is packed with a variety of sensors to monitor indoor environmental quality. It keeps track of air quality index (via measuring a broad range of gases including Volatile Organic Compounds), temperature, humidity, ambient light and barometric pressure.

Wirepas Connectivity is a de-centralized radio communications protocol that can be used in any device, with any radio chip and on any radio band. With Wirepas Connectivity, every device is a smart router, eliminating the need for other infrastructure. The connected devices from the network – easy as that.
