Rayat and Bahra College of Education, in accordance with the theme of Quality in teacher

education invites you to a National Seminar to understand the existing scenario, generate

new ideas, initiate and orient teacher educators, researchers to explore quality assurance in

teacher education through the deliberations of the seminar .

The Theme

Ensuring the quality of teaching and education is crucial for teacher education institutes in

the daily competition for reputation, funding, students and researchers. The establishment

of an inherent quality culture at the institution concerned therefore remains a ubiquitous

challenge for responsible faculty members.

At RBCE we understand that quality assurance is an ongoing journey .We are also clear that

it is not just about accreditaion by NAAC, but also concerns a change in culture in which the

institute operates and functions. In the seminar there will beopportunities to discuss key

issues such as quality culture, quality assurance & management and the trends and

challenges of the same.

Call for Papers

Participants are invited to submit their abstract for paper presentationon any one of the sub

themes . The abstract for the proposed paper should include the objectives, methodology

and a discussion of expected outcomes and should not exceed one A 4 Size page.The last

date of submission of abstract for paper presentation is February10th

, 2015. The delgates

will be informed for the acceptance of paper through email. The abstract can be emailed at

[email protected].

Publication of Papers in Book (ISBN number)

Participants are also invited to submit their papers for publication in the book (with an ISBNnumber). Only the papers approved by the Paper Review Comitte will be eligible

forpublication. The last date of submission of papers for publication is February 5th

, 2015.

The paper can be emailed at [email protected] publishing fee of Rs

1000/- will be charged per paper.One complimentry copy will be given to the primary

author. Postage, if any will have to be borne by the participant. Please note that the

accepted papers will be published only after the payment of Registration & Publication Fee

per author.

NOTE: For paper presentation the abstract should include the objectives, methodology and a

discussion of expected outcomes. For paper publication, abstract and full paper with APA

style has to be submitted.

Guidelines for Submitting Abstract & Paper

Abstract to be submitted in soft copy in one A 4 pageand should include the objectives,

methodology and a discussion of expected outcomes. APA Style is recommended for writing

papers (Please referhttp://my.ilstu.edu/~jhkahn/APAsample.pdf ) .Personal Particulars in

the following order- Name, Title of the work, Affiliation (Department and Institute), Email,Telephone, and Postal address.

Certificate of Participation

Certificate of participation/ paper presentation will be issued to only those who attend the

Seminar. Co-authors who do not attend the conference will not get participation certificate.

Registration Fee

The seminar registration fee includes refreshments and lunch during the seminar day.

Reistration fee and attendance: Rs 500

Registration and Paper Presentation : Rs 700

Registration, Paper Presentation and Paper Publication : Rs 1500

Regestration and Paper Publication : Rs 2000

Registration fee and attendance for Research Scholars : Rs 300

Registration, Paper Presentation and Paper Publication for Research Scholars : Rs 1300

Please note, that all the authors/co authours of the paper presentation/publication need to

register. All Research scholars/studets are required to submit a copy of identity card. Only

those research scholars who are not employed are eligebale to avail the Research Scholar

fee.

Method of Payment

Registration fee can be paid through a Demand Draft/Cheque in favour of Principal, Rayat &

Bahra College of Education, Sahauran payable at Chandigarh. Cash in any branch of Oriental

Bank of Commerce across India can be depositied . The College account number is
