MISSION

2.0 Beginning of a new venture “HSPMSolutions” from 1st January

2019:

The Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

1st January 2019, marked the beginning of a new venture for

„BHARATI VIDYAPEETH‟S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, LAVALE‟,

as on this day the first startup “HSPM” was officially established at

BVCOEL Pune.

HSPM Solutions started commencing its operations from 13th

October 2018 as a venture without being officially established. The

inaugural ceremony to mark the beginning was held on 13th October

2018 at BVCOEL Pune. It was a remarkable event received

immense support from all the stakeholders. The occasion was graced

by Dr. R. N. Patil (Principal, BVCOEL Pune), Prof.U.C.Patkar (H.O.D,

Computer Department) and the Professors Panel.

HSPM Solutions is registered as an LLP firm with MCA on

1st January 2019. This marked an entrepreneurship journey for

BVCOEL Pune, with the vision and a motto to inculcate the culture of

entrepreneurship amongst the student community.

2.1 The Key highlights of HSPM are listed below:-

1. HSPM Solutions was selected in TOP 300 Start-up‟s by Start-up

Grind (partnered by Google for Start-up‟s) in their global event “Start-

up Grind Global Conference 2019” which was held in the month of

February 2019 at Silicon Valley, California, USA. Unfortunately,

HSPM could not make to the event due to visa related issues.

2. HSPM Solutions organized a “National level hardware Workshop

and Competition” in association with the Department of Computer

Engineering, BVCOE, Lavale Pune on Saturday, 16th February 2019.

Around 150 entries were received from various institutions in and

around Pune. The workshop was followed by a competitive event in

the domain of hardware which enabled the students to have hands on

experience.

The winners were rewarded with a cash voucher of Rs.500 along the

with certificate of participation and award.

3. HSPM was able to secure the runner up position at “National level

B-plan Competition” held at IIMS, Sai Balaji Group of Institutes, Pune,

on Monday 25th February 2019.

4. Team HSPM for their remarkable work was felicitated by the

Department of Computer Engineering, BVCOEL Pune during

student‟s felicitation ceremony on 23/3/2019. Recently, HSPM has

been selected under TOP 100 start-ups by Start-up Grind and it

received an invitation to exhibit its product to the global audience at

“Start-up Grind Europe Conference 2019” to be held in the month of

June 2019 at London, UK.

3.0 Formation of entrepreneurship development cellat BVCOEL

The existing Entrepreneur cell of Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s college of

Engineering, Lavale, Pune was primarily a student governed body.

The core team comprised of 3rd year undergraduate students from

various disciplines, and wereassisted by the second & first year

undergraduate students.

ANew E-Cell was established within the framework and guidelines as

stipulated by SPPU Pune. A New Startup and innovation cell was

established dated 01/January/2019 at BVCOEL and composition of

the cell is as per the guidelines of innovation and incubation center of

SPPU.

4.0 Certification of recognition of E-Cell by SPPU

Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Linkages C-BRIDGE (Center for

Business, Research, Incubation, Development, Growth and

Entrepreneurship) at SPPU is set up to promote innovative startups

through the University ecosystem. Centre would facilitate and hone

ideas and innovations that are useful to society and address some of

the problems faced through the development of product, process, and

services

Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Linkages of SPPU recognized the

E Cell of Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s College of Engineering Lavale, Pune

and certified the same.

5.0 Quarterly events organized by E-cell

The Entrepreneurship Cell aims to ignite creative thinking and nurture

entrepreneurial instincts in students. The Cell hopes to achieve this

by conducting stimulating workshops, competitions and interactive

sessions with eminent personalities who are role models when it

comes to business development. The Cell's ultimate vision is to

create independent business entities out of interested students so

that they not only become self-employed but also become capable of

providing gainful, fulfilling employment to others and thereby

benefiting society at large.

5.1 Guest lecture by Mr. Vrushasen Naphade

The Entrepreneur Cell of Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s College of Engineering

Lavale, Pune, organized a guest lecture on the topic "Make

Meaningful Entrepreneurship Journey" and the speaker for the

session was Mr. Vrushasen Naphade. Mr. Vrushasen Naphade

(Angel Investor and an established entrepreneur) on 21st Feb 2019,

on the topic "Make Meaningful Entrepreneurship Journey”. Mr.

Naphade has raised funds to the tune of rupees 8.5 crores at the

tender age of 21. He completed his graduation from the University of

Pune as a B. Com Marketing student and did his post-graduation

from the University of London.

He is the Co-founder of Admin Media which is an advertising network

firm, Business Lead at Sappers Solutions Pvt Ltd. He worked as

Digital Media Strategist at Avail Advertising India Pvt Ltd and also

was the Vice President (Mobile Information & Networking

Technology) at Rattle Lifestyle Pvt Ltd

The guest lecture was aimed at developing entrepreneurial aptitude

by bringing young minds together to present pertinent topics, and

issues involved with entrepreneurial initiatives.

The lecture started with Saraswati Pooja and lamp lighting and was

graced by Principal Dr. R. N. Patil, Prof. Dr. Shikha Bhardwaj, Prof.

Uday Patkar, Prof. S. R. Patil, Prof. A. B. Wani, Prof. Dr. Nidhi Jain.

Our Principal Dr. R. N. Patil felicitated the Guest of Honour. Faculty

Co-ordinators Prof. Prajakta Pawar, Prof. Leena Choudhary,

Prof.V.C.Khapper and all faculty members and non- teaching gave

their valuable inputs in arranging and motivating students to attend

this lecture.

Around 250 students from all streams, department HODs, and faculty

members attended this lecture. The event was a successful one

because of the huge appreciation and overwhelming response.

Thanks to student co-ordinators Kartikee, Himaanshu, Hemraj,

Shubham, Sachin and other students who played an active role in

arranging and making the event a successful one. Anchoring was

done by Huzaif and rangoli was drawn by Kalpeksha and Vaishnavi.

5.2 One day workshop on 19/3/19 on opportunity analysis

The one day workshop on 19/3/19 on opportunity analysis to

teach about entrepreneurship journey. One day workshop

about financial aspects, team building, goal setting, strong

management and the ability to handle a robust plan. Students

were handed over free startup kit from Eship Simplified.

5.3 Project based competition

The department of Mechanical engineering in collaboration with

E Cell of BVCOEL Pune, had organized a project based competition,

the occasion was graced by Mr Amol Gole MD Shree Heat

Exchangers and Mr Nitin Bhagwat CEO Nobel Cast

Products cutting across different domains of Mechanical engineering

were displayed. The session was followed with a keynote address by

Guest of Honor were he emphasized on the Intellectual Property

Rights.

The outline of Skill India Mission, export promotion council and the

initiatives of GOI to address the trade deficit.He called upon the

student community to be vigilant and take benefits of the schemes

being floated by the governments.He emphasized on financial

prudence and fiscal discipline. He touched upon parameters like

capital goods, assets and liabilitiesand technological advancements

and hand holding of academic institutions in bridging the gap

6.0 E- Cell's ultimate vision

The Cell's ultimate vision is to create independent business entities

out of interested students so that they not only become self-employed

but also become capable of providing gainful, fulfilling employment to

others and thereby benefit society at large.

6.1 Creating a conducive environment for formation of

startups

Entrepreneurship development cell should provide a conducive

environment to guide students in right direction

To create an entrepreneurial culture in the Institution and

promote research objectives of BVCOEL, including financial

benefits related to students and faculty members.

To foster better linkages between the stakeholders, Industries,

and R&D institutions and other related organizations engaged

in promoting Small & Medium Enterprises.

To catalyze and promote the development of small scale

enterprises and promote employment opportunities

To respond effectively to the emerging challenges and

opportunities both at national and international level relating to

SMEs and Micro Enterprises.

6.2 Continuous Improvement and Sustainability

By organizing Guest lectures, Workshop, Seminars, Alumni

meet, etc on a recurring the basis for promotion and growth of

E-cell at BVCOEL.

To arrange visits to industries for prospective entrepreneurs

To conduct research work and survey for identifying

entrepreneurial opportunities.

To guide and assist prospective E-cell program at various

aspects such as identification of mentor pool from the local

ecosystem

To act as an information center on business opportunities,

processes, technologies, market, etc. by creating and

maintaining relevant databases.

To provide testing, calibration, quality assurance, design, tool

room, pilot plant and other facilities for E-cell programs

besides expertise in Intellectual Property rights, Patents

search, etc.

To render advice to sick enterprises and assist the

entrepreneurs in rehabilitating them.

To conduct skill development training program leading to

self/wage employment.
