Calèches tour throughout the historic downtown of Québec City. This one waits for a fare on Rue Sainte-Anne.

A calèche is a two-wheeled one-horse vehicle. The driver sits on the splashboard, a board on the front that catches the water and mud thrown up by the horses hooves and carriage wheels. The passenger seat can be covered by a folding top.

These tours amble along the busy streets of downtown Quebec City, their drivers pointing out the sights.
