2019 AMENDMENT AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN INTERIM AMENDMENT (LGIP v1.1)
Notice is given under the Planning Act 2016 , Minister'sGuidelines and Rules 2017 and Alignment Amendment Rulesthat on 30 January 2020, Logan City Council adopted the ParkRidge South and Chambers Flat Land Use Area Amendment,Park Ridge South and Chambers Flat General Planning LayoutAmendment, Minor and Administrative Amendment No. 5,Residential Overlay Amendment and Planning Scheme Policy 5-Infrastructure 2019 Amendment. On 11 October 2019 LoganCity Council adopted the Local Government Infrastructure PlanInterim Amendment.
The purpose and general effect of the Park Ridge South andChambers Flat Land Use Area Amendment and Park RidgeSouth and Chambers Flat General Planning Layout Amendmentis to ensure development is delivered in an integrated, orderlyway in Park Ridge South and Chambers Flat. This is achievedthrough establishing preferred dominant land uses andidentifying an integrated transport network.
The purpose and general effect of the Minor and AdministrativeAmendment No. 5 is to make various minor and administrativeamendments to the planning scheme to correct spelling, grammatical errors, formatting, factual matters and to improveclarity and consistency.
The purpose and general effect of the Residential OverlayAmendment is to introduce a citywide overlay that is relevant tothe assessment of a material change of use for a Dwellinghouse in residential areas. The introduction of the overlaymaintains the single assessment pathway for Dwelling housesthat trigger assessment due to non-compliance with theacceptable outcomes of the Dual occupancy and Dwellinghouse code. The amendment does not alter or introduce anyadditional assessment benchmarks and maintains the currentassessment framework triggering code assessment against theplanning scheme.
The purpose and general effect of the Planning Scheme Policy5-Infrastructure 2019 Amendment is to address technicalissues within Planning Scheme Policy 5-Infrastructure, provideclarity and improve alignment with current standards andindustry best practice.
