Establish Standards and Protocols for:1. Patient Data2. Query / Case Definition3. Results
• The clinical working group is responsible for:– Developing the Use Case and Functional Requirements– Selecting the standards for the Clinical Information Model (CIM),
query syntax and results expression– Assessing the applicability of the User Stories to available
computable standardized data from certified EHRs and other standards-based health information sources
• These steps ultimately refine the definition of the pilot projects and reference implementation for the initiative
Working Group Mission & Goals
• Call Courtesy– Announce your name– Do not interrupt– Do not dominate discussion / make point and listen to others
• Do-ocracy– Your active participation and contribution is your credibility– Self organized work and calls between meetings
• Committed Members– Statement and agreement to actively contribute, not just attend calls– Committed members are expected to work between calls and report out on weekly calls– Other interested members are invited to participate and consider becoming committed
member– Only committed members may participate in Consensus Process

1. Quality Compliance : Number of patients over the age of 50 who have received the flu vaccine (NQF 0041).
2. Surveillance: Determine what patients have contracted the flu.
3. 2 x 2 of Vaccine and Flu Diagnosis
4. Refine Query (for example for H1N1). – Add GI symptom – Specify H1N1 vaccine
