Now we are going through fitnah وIf we see it is an ayaat from Allah- then we can succeed -> we have many papers, tests in this life. and in the end we have a big exam. May Allah make us see the truth as truth and falsehood as falsehood. Ar-Rab ب$%ا- is the one how nurtures you all the time, it depends on your level and it depends on your faith. Those who are in grade 1 are different than in grade 12. - This is ayat from Allah, a sign from Allah. - The Ibaadah is based on Ar-Rab - The salaf expected tests and this helped them keep going. Allah nurtures everyone around you at the same time! How will you understand the Tarbiyah of Allah= through the Ayah. Allah send all the ayaat to nurture you. Whaht is the result of knowing Allah’s nurturing= IBAADAH. Allah created us for Ibaadah. Dua is an Ibaadah - What make me say a dua? When we know Allah is AR-Rab! - The ibaadah comes when we know it is Ayat Allah - Ex: You are in a situation when someone didn’t give me my rights. We make dua, ask Allah to give you your rights. And we know that this situation is an ayat from Allah, from His nurturing Khawf- Fear - we are afraid of Allah - we are afraid of changing of the hearts - Surah Taha Hope #$% اFearing Allah’s punishment, Hoping for His Mercy, Forgiveness, and Reward Hoping from a person is not an Ibaadah. • the believer will say Rabi Allah• the kuffar will say La Adri, I don’t know 0 ادري• the hypocrites will say I heard... and I said....

Now we are going through fitnahو If we see it is an ayaat from Allah- then we can succeed-> we have many papers, tests in this life. and in the end we have a big exam. May Allah make us see the truth as truth and falsehood as falsehood.

Ar-Rab الرب- is the one how nurtures you all the time, it depends on your level and it depends on your faith. Those who are in grade 1 are different than in grade 12. - This is ayat from Allah, a sign from Allah. - The Ibaadah is based on Ar-Rab- The salaf expected tests and this helped them keep going.

Allah nurtures everyone around you at the same time!

How will you understand the Tarbiyah of Allah= through the Ayah. Allah send all the ayaat to nurture you. Whaht is the result of knowing Allah’s nurturing= IBAADAH.

Allah created us for Ibaadah.

your rights. And we know that this situation is an ayat from Allah, from His nurturing

Khawf- Fear - we are afraid of Allah- we are afraid of changing of the hearts- Surah Taha

Hope الرجاءFearing Allah’s punishment, Hoping for His Mercy, Forgiveness, and Reward

Surah Al-Kahf

ـثلكم يوحى إليU أنUما إلهكم إله واحد فمن كان يرجو لقاء ربHه فليعمل عمA صالحا و0 يشرك Hما أنا بشر مUقل إنبعـبادة رب.ه أحدا

Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship

of his Lord anyone." (18:110)

- Hoping to meet Allah, Hope produces an Ibaadah. Not like Al-Guroor (hoping and doing nothing)

أمUن هو قانت آناء اللUيل ساجدا وقائما يحذر اdخرة ويرجو رحمة ربHه قل هل يسـتوي الUذين يعلمون والAذين < يعلمون ر أولو اDلـباب Aما يـتذكAإن

Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who

are] people of understanding.

- devoted, standing and prostrating= he is praying attentively- what is his heart doing? (Allah appreciate the action of the heart, when the action of the heart and

limbs are the same, this is Sadiqeen)- He is hoping for the mercy of Allah - Hoping for the mercy is motivation, its is an ibaadah- The one who knows and the one who doesn’t know is not the same, the one who has

knowledge is different than the one who doesn’t have knowledge.

حيم Uغفور ر U*وا U*أولئك يرجون رحمت ا U*ذين هاجروا وجاهدوا في سبيل اUذين آمـنوا والUال UإنIndeed, those who have believed and those who have emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah -

those expect the mercy of Allah . And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

- Who is hoping? The one doing good deeds.

Ayaat about not having hope:إنU الUذين 0 يرجون لقاءنا ورضوا بالحياة الدqنيا واطمــأنqوا بها والUذين هم عن آياتـنا غافلون

Verily, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life of the present world, and those who are heedless of Our Ayat (proofs,

evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.),

• who does not hope to meet Allah? Those who love with Dunya• It makes it hard to see the Ayat of Allah, when we are so concern with dunya, we do not

see the nurturing of Allah in different situations. • Heedless about the ayat.• Why does Allah tell you an ayat- to know that Allah is Rab.

Surah Yunus is about the Qadr of Allah. Sometimes we do not know an explanation for so many things.

رU استعجالهم بالخير لقضي إليهم أجلهم فـنذر الUذين 0 يرجون لقاءنا في Uاس الشUللـن U*ل ا Hولو يعجطغيانهم يعمهون

And were Allah to hasten for mankind the evil (they invoke for themselves and for their children, etc. while in a state of anger) as He hastens for them the

good (they invoke) then they would have been ruined. So We leave those who expect not their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering blindly in

distraction. (Tafsir At-Tabari; Vol. 11, Page 91)

• Hasten the evil before the goodness, • Ghafla- heedlessness- Allah will leave them drowning blindly• They indulge in fitna, not seeing it as a test• When you have belief, you see the test like a mountain, knowing that it is just an

ayat. But those that are heedless, indulge in it.

2 types of Ayaat: you have recited ayat and seen ayat- meaning decree (the recited ayat explains the decree)

ذا أو بدHله قل ما يكون إذا تـتلى عليهم آياتـنا بيـHنات قال الUذين 0 يرجون لقاءنا ائت بقرآن غير ه ولي أن أبد.له من تلقاء نفسي إن أتAبع إ<A ما يوحى إليA إن.ي أخاف إن عصيت رب.ي

عذاب يوم عظيـمAnd when Our Clear Verses are recited unto them, those who hope not for their

meeting with Us, say: Bring us a Quran other than this, or change it."Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It is not for me to change it on my own accord; I only follow

that which is revealed unto me. Verily, I fear if I were to disobey my Lord, the torment of the Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." (10:15)

• The ayat from Allah should change themBut instead they want change of the ayat

• They want another Quran, they don’t want to submit to the rules. even if people come as an ayat, they want other people to change. But even they are an ayat

• We cannot change the decree but we can change ourselves.

• For us, we want to change everything else. We want to bring this ruler out, change this and that. But we do not change ourselves. Allah Mustaan. The more you see Ayat is

• from Allah, then we need it for Allah.

• When you are in a situation, and you see it from Allah, you will have good manners with the people also (because we don’t take it personally)

And those who expect not for a Meeting with Us (i.e. those who deny the Day of Resurrection and the life of the Hereafter), say: "Why are not the angels

sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they think too highly of themselves, and are scornful with great pride. (25:21)

- They were not happy with the ayat Allah brought down, and wanted other ayat

التوكلTawakkul

*Don’t forget we are connecting all the Ibaadah with- “Who is your Lord?”* Things that happen to us are from Allah*

- Tawakkul=Jamaa’ Imaan- Their faith is very strong, one of the first that will go into Jannah

- Shafaa Al-Kubra- The big intercession- Allah will allow them to enter jannah with no Hisaab (accountablility) or punishment = Mutakkileen

- Those that have tawakkul= they don’t ask for Ruqya (they do it themselves), they don’t use caterizing, they don’t have evil omen (superstitions)

- Tawakkul= trusting and relying on Allah (the cure, provision, etc, is only from Allah) they take the means but they don’t rely on it.

- Ex: taking medicine, but rely on Allah. - Ex: You have a class, teacher, but only Allah can teach you. Nothing is

effective expect if Allah wills it. - Ex: Imagine you are on a plane, and they announce “this is the pilot’s first

trip”, what will you do?... Imagine it’s everyone/everything’s first time.- May Allah make it easy for us to have Tawakkul. Ameen!

لون Uهم يـتوكHإذا تـليت عليهم آياته زادتهم إيمانا وعلى رب إنUما ا6ؤمـنون الUذين إذا ذكر ا*U وجلت قلوبهم و

The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon

their Lord they rely -

When you have a high level tawakkul, you see other things as very small. SubhanAllah. Like looking down from an airplane. You rely on Allah from money, security, children,

paradise, etc.

لون Aذين صـبروا وعلى رب.هم يـتوكAال(They are) those who remained patient (in this world for Allah's sake), and put their

trust in their Lord (Allah Alone). (16:42)

- without patience, you will rely on the means. And you will rely on the blessings in the means. But with patience, you will stop your heart from rely on the blessings (such as good doctor) in order to rely on Allah.

يطان الرUجيم Uمن الش U*فإذا قرأت القرآن فاسـتعذ باSo when you want to recite the Quran, seek refuge with Allah from Shaitan (Satan),

the outcast (the cursed one).

لون Aذين آمـنوا وعلى رب.هم يـتوكAه ليس له سلطان على الAإن

Indeed, there is for him no authority over those who have believed and rely upon their Lord.

- what is our greatest blessing?= the QURAN!

- before we start reading, we ask Allah and seek refuge in Him. Shaitan has no authority over those who believe and rely on their Lord! SubhanAllah.

لون Uهم يـتوكHذين صـبروا وعلى ربUالThose who are patient, and put their trust (only) in their Lord (Allah). (29:59)

- from the blessings, and trials, we have Sabr and rely on Allah azza wa jal

ا رزقـناهم ينفقون Uة وأمرهم شورى بيـنهم وممA Uهم وأقاموا الصHذين اسـتجابوا لربUوال

And those who answer the Call of their Lord [i.e. to believe that He is the only One Lord (Allah), and to worship none but Him Alone], and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat),

and who (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them;
