Quezon City is a city of contrasts. It is one of the most dynamic
economic centers of the country but has the biggest population of
informal settlers in the Philippines.

Tapping the National Housing Supply: From year 2010 up to 2013, a total of 15,988 families from several danger areas in the City were relocated to NHA Resettlement Sites in Bulacan and Rodriguez, Rizal. However, the number of relocation allocation provided by the National Housing Authority (NHA) is not enough to accommodate the City’s demand as ISFs clamour for affordable in-city housing/ resettlement.

The Quezon City Government has undertaken 8 housing projects designed to provide dwelling units for 2,367 families. All the housing sites are in Quezon City, providing no dislocation to those resettled. All beneficiaries are required to pay back the housing units thru financing in three modes:
• Pag-ibig Fund • SHFC loans (for those who
qualify, and can afford the amortization
• In-house financing thru the LGU, which is able to lend at half the interest rates of the Pag-ibig Fund.
