Let’s start with the basics…

What’s marketing?

Marketing is everything you do to engage, promote, and attract your clients online and in

person. The purpose of marketing is to create visibility for your brand, attract and build

relationships and trust with you ideal clients, and to convert prospects to clients and fans.

What’s the purpose of generating visibility?

The purpose of creating visibility for your business (brand) is to:

1. Generate awareness for your brand, services, and products in your market

2. Increase the size of your audience.

What’s the difference between visibility and lead generation or list building?

The focus of marketing visibility is to raise awareness about your business and increase the

size of your audience.  It’s the “Know” factor! But, the focus of lead generation is to attract

clients who are interested to learn more and possibly purchase your services and products.

It’s the “Like” factor!

It’s easier to sign up for your lead generation campaigns when people know you.  So,

visibility and lead generation activities are both needed and they complement each other.

Why visibility is important?

Brand visibility and awareness is the key to attracting clients and generating leads.  Most

clients buy from companies they know, like, and trust.   Market visibility allows your clients

to know and recognize your brand.  Also, it will help you to generate lead and enroll clients

more effectively.

Status, Profession, Job Title, Income, where do they hang out online and offline, what organizations they

belong to, who do they follow? If you are marketing to a business: What’s the industry, business activity,

location, size/revenue, years in business, number of employees?

Part 2‐ What’s their problem? What do they need and want? What are their Values, dreams,

wants, needs, problems, pain, and struggles?  How these problems are making them feel and why?  What

solutions are they looking for? What’s holding them back?

define clients you want to attract?  What are their characteristics? Age, Gender, Background, profession,

SERVICES & PRODUCTS

Describe your Service(s) or product? What’s your solution? How are you planning to solve

your client’s problems? How will you help them to reach their dreams?

Your services are generally a combination of your expertise, training, knowledge, passion,

skills, and experiences packaged into a service that your market needs and willing to pay

for it.

What’s unique about your services? What’s unique about what you do or how you do it that makes you more valuable? What differentiate you from other services and products?  What’s your USP?  Don’t get stuck on this.  You are the biggest differentiator in your business.  But this is important to think about.

Quick Analysis: Why would your ideal clients pay for these services?  Are there similar

services in the market? How much people are paying for them? How much do you think

your ideal clients will pay for your services? Does this match your numbers from the

financial goals?

Claim your fame! What do you stand for?  How your purpose, values, and vision are showing up in your business?

PART II ‐ BUILD YOUR SYSTEM

Remember: Visibility without an effective Lead Generation/Conversion system isn’t enough

to generate business.  Also, lead generation isn’t effective without visibility in your market.

They are both needed to attract clients, share your gift, and work with clients you love.

Focus on building your client attraction system, instead of focusing on building your

visibility or lead generation system.

Here is a list of strategies and tactics you can use to build your client attraction system.

Top visibility strategies:

The key is to identify where your potential clients are and show up there, the larger the

audience the greater the impact.

2. Networking and Social Media

3. Content marketing, guest blogging, magazine articles, or your own blog

4. Create your own events, Joint venture, interviewing experts, or telesummits
