• Your client’s login information
• Need to be linked with your client
• Everyone logged out of QuickBooks Hosted
What file sharing is
• Client’s file hosted directly on Network drive (“The Q: Drive”)
• File sharing gives you a shortcut to access their section on the network drive for the file(s) they give you permission to do so
• Security:
The Process
• Need to be linked with your client
• Without being linked, it will not enable you to proceed to share the file(s)
The Process
• Once linked, head to the “My Clients” section to share the
file(s)
• You can also:
– Add users to your clients account
– Manage existing user details on your clients behalf

After Sharing
Don’t Panic!!
After Sharing
• Note the location of the old file
• Manually browse to the new location
Hint – More than one company file in the “Quick List”
Can I remove shared folder access?
• Delete the shortcut to the shared folder
– Not a preferable option as this only removes the visible shortcut to
the folder on the users Q: drive, not access altogether
• Contact [email protected] and helpdesk can
do this for you in the event that you wish to remove access for
any users

• Add users on your clients behalf
• Why this is better than clients purchasing themselves
• Password resets
