Quotation: Alterationsan Builder’s Work, New Pretoria Office,
1072 Francis Baard str, HATFIELD
Please note that all this work need to be completed and handed over by 26 JUNE 2018
1. General Yard preparation and Maintenance:
a. The complete removal of the entire tree and visual root system together with all relevant treatment
thereof, of the big tree against the front street fence as well as the entire tree at the rear of the garden of
the same species.
The cutting of the main large branches of the tree against the front of the house together with pruning of dead branches
over the roof.
Trimming and pruning of the mulberry tree and all other trees in need of basic maintenance.
The contractor will cut and remove all debris from the premises.
b. All paving in front over the root structures to be uplifted prior to the root removal and then filled,
compacted and replaced accordingly.
c. The front fence together with the prefab wall is to be removed and replaced with palisade fencing
recovered from the existing boundary. The rear part of the boundary fence to be removed and all unused
pieces to stored neatly on site.
d. Front sliding gate is to be removed, repaired and a new sliding rail to be installed along the front wall.
2. Building work for NBCEI
a. Supply and install 3 new cottage style arched steel windows complete with glazing on front veranda.
Remove existing front door and fabricate new frame and install in new arched front opening.( use existing
door). Remove alter and reinstall security gate on front door to open outwards. Clean and paint internal
walls on veranda. Repair ceilings in two front rooms
b. Remove and reinstall metal sink with plumbing to new area.
c. Close up with sound proofing of 3 internal interleading doors in front area. Painting of closure included
3. Salon Area
a. Remove existing window and install new cottage pane double glass door with new frame.
b. Build new platform across drainage area to salon entrance.
a. Knock out brickwork for new doorway between office and salon. Install new doorframe and door.
b. Close up 3 internal interleading doors and paint
4. New ECA Training Area.
a. Demolish kitchen counter wall for extra opening with new lintels, if possible remove complete wall.
b. Close up and soundproof 3 internal doors and paint
5. Roof.
a. Repair all loose roof sheets and waterproof all damaged joints, repair and replace gutters and downpipes
where needed. Strip, clean and spray-paint roof and gutters with primer and roofcote in heritage green
or as request,250sqm
6. Convert rear bathroom to common use toilet with outside entrance:
a. Strip entire bathroom and break wall for new external door.
b. Supply and install 1 existing toilet (if possible) plus 1 new toilet, 2 new urinals and new wash basin.
Replumb entire bathroom
c. Retile only damaged areas (non matching but similar to existing), Paint ceiling and external front wall
where new door is fitted.
d. Install two melamine partitions with melamine and aluminium doors with internal slide locks.
7. Convert current garage/storeroom at the back into boardroom/ training/ breakaway room.
a. Remove double door from front and replace with new cottage pane door and steel window.
b. Replace wooden back door with new window,
c. Repair roof where needed and fit new barge boards over two sides of the roof.
d. Fit new ceilings and box up geyser, repair and paint entire interior.
e. Clean repair and paint exterior of front and side walls.
f. Brick and plaster where needed. all glazing incl.
g. Repair, clean and fit new door to exterior toilet area, build up step in front of outside toilet for water
runoff and access
8. Paint complete interior of all areas discussed above:

Repair and service the entire roof of the main house together with all gutters and downpipes including waterproofing
and complete strip, clean and respray of the roof with primer and roofcote heritage green or choice. Roof truss
inspection and repair if needed included.
Repair and service gutters and downpipes throughout the carports house and salon building, install at least 5 new
downpipes.
Waterproofing where needed (excluding roof paint) on all carports.
