•TBL1+ end of 2015 or…… ETCS•Memor will be dismantled as of Jan, 1, 2016•Problems on some locomotive types
• Class 66: prototype testing failed• G2000: manufacturer refuses to release source codes• BR 186: ETCS different countries not compatible (already 4
types of ETCS in The Netherlands)• Not clear specifications• Software 2.3.0.d gives still problems• Not uniformity of ETCS systems gives drivers complexity and
sector does not know which system is the right one now Leasing companies don’t know how to continue since
manufactures are not willing/able to solve the problems•Sector will react with letter to the Authorities

•Training of 9-10 months•Investment cost of 40.000,- euro•Trucking sector is heavily subsidysed by government but driver earns less•Shortage of Drivers•Engine Driver is free to go after 9 months•Heavy recruitment (promising high fees) by competitors which wants to enter the Belgian market, salaries go up again which sector cannot bear•No protection for the Railway company….
